Lakeside Kitchen and Bar in Peterborough

I am a local dog walker weekend's always busy when weather good staff worked hard xx you had to be patient xx quality of food looked good

Lovely place to visit plenty of space Restaurant could do with more staff and more parking meters needed but well worth a visit

Staff friendly and helpful, food was delicious

The staff was the best part of the experience, very helpful.. We had hot chocolates, but really did not like paying for marshmallows that got melted because they were placed in the cup first.. I also had some carrot cake, which was sadly dry although a nice flavour..

I dread to think what this place will be like in summer. The queue is horrendous, have been stood outside not moving for 15 minutes. Awful. In the end it took 35 minutes, by which time we couldn't order from the breakfast menu which is what we had came for.

Sat in the outdoor area with our dog! Very cold day and the wood burner hadn't been lit, instead a very small fan heater which didn't warm us up. Nice lunch and helpful staff. Very good wheelchair access! ♿

We got married at Lakeside Kitchen in November 2021. The wedding was last minute and we had just 7 weeks to arrange everything. Louise, the events organiser at Lakeside Kitchen, was absolutely amazing. I'm sure we wouldn't have managed it without her! The venue was beautifully decorated and the food was great (and everything was very reasonably priced). We can't recommend this venue and Louise's expertise enough.

Certainly no festive cheer in this cafe! Rude staff, good to be reminded 5 times (!) that they were closing at 3 (I did read that on the sign on the way in). Hot food seems to stop being served whenever the staff feel like it. Disappointing in what is otherwise a wonderful park

Of all the lakeside cafe's Lakeside kitchen is certainly one of the better ones. Food generally to a high standard, staff very pleasant and the indoor/outdoor dining area is great especially on a sunlit evening. Dog and cyclist friendly. Certainly recommended after a long (flat) walk around the lake.

It was such a lovely area to visit. There is a nice bicycle path around the lake and great playground for the kids. It us possible to hire s bike, canoe and boats in the small place by the cafe. Very tasty falafel burger and fish fingers wrap. Lovely view towards the lake, the with for the food was only 10 min. We had a fantastic bike ride around the lake too. Lovely day out for all family. At the lake there is a small area fir children to paddle. We also had a ride along the river. Really pretty area. It takes about an hour to walk around the lakes. Two cafes to choose from. Bike station right by one of the cafes.
