Notcutts Peterborough in Peterborough

A big range of goods available across the store. Like most modern garden centres it's less about the garden and more about retail shopping for clothes, books, food etc..

After quite a few attempts at gardening and getting plants from Superstores. I decided to visit Notcutts, as you can see it off the main road. They have a very large variety of plants and tools for indoor / outdoor gardening. There are also experienced gardeners who can query regarding plants that you are purchasing and how to take care of them.I found a years worth of knowledge quite quickly. My plants are thriving that I purchased from here. The ones I really like and I hope to grow my collection.

Lovely garden centre , very helpful staff , plenty of plants spoilt for choice , they also sell jams , marmalades and chutney , outer wear and loads of other bits and pieces , I bought loads of plants and a jacket .

Worst black americano coffee I have ever had in my life. It was just disgusting, more like instant or filter coffee. Not only that they charge £2.35 for a small cup. That is only slightly less than a proper americano at most other places.Will never visit again.

Very disappointed we were staying at the campsite and thought we would eat in their cafe, they advertise themselves as dog friendly but when we get there it proves to be a false claim . Where is the point in allowing dogs into the centre if you then cannot get a drink or a meal because they don’t allow dogs!! We have eaten in garden centres with our little dog all over the country no problem but won’t be going back to notcutts We also left without buying anything so double loss for Notcutts And NO we won’t be sitting on hard cold metal chairs outside in February!

We went for cuppa tea and teacake..tea was well worth the money got 3cups..teacake bit dissappointing because one half was burnt..the garden centre good got bargain with puzzle 4x1000 pieces for £19.99 well happy.

Quality items and always a pleasure to visit, the staff are friendly and very helpful, James likes an apple !

Had a lovely shopping experience with my daughter today also had coffee and cake in the cafe. I mistakenly thought I had been over charged so I called the garden centre and a lady called Chris dealt with me. I have to say how patient this member of staff was with me and so professional over the phone . It was my mistake, but thank you Chris for taking the time to go over my reciept payment. Very helpful.

Went for lunch today , whilst the freshness was there , the portion size was clearly not !Just under £7 for a tuna mayo n cucumber sandwich, most places do a jam packed sarnie with crisps n small side salad . Notcutts only do 2 slices bread with thin layer of tuna served on a plate . I ordered a portion of chunky fries @£1.95 ......11 and a half chips served in a ceramic bowl the size of a tea cup which actually looked like a tea cup without the handle . The soup was tasty , potato and leek but again maybe the half full bowl with 3 minut baguette slices and 3 croutons didnt do the price paid any justice! All in all decent quality food but not worth the money .

Brilliant garden centre, has a dedicate area for animals, including ones they sell (Various fish, rabbits etc). They also have a little cafe which does a very good coffee.
