Staff was 2nd to none! Went there as part of the package connected with the hotel, and we know travel to there once a month just for the amazing food, atmosphere and friendly staff. And we always tip! Food isn't expensive for what you get. Deserve a higher rating than given

Lovely dog friendly bar (Bonios and fresh water provided). Our sandwiches were pretty good too. Perfect finish after a long walk in Ferry Meadows.

The bar staff were amazing, nothing could have been done to improve the experience. The attic with the pool table and football table were great. We went during a weekday so we had the whole attic to ourselves which really added to the experience. Food and drinks were great as well, hats off to the chef. Thank you for the great experience!

Amazing food, amazing staff. Lots and lots of gin to be had. Get cocktails back on the menu!Dont forget to have a go on the pool tables upstairs. Like its very own karaoke bar.

A very spacious dining area, garden, friendly staff and really nice food. The hotel grounds are impressive and well kept.

I loved the ambiance of the pub which is tucked away off the roadside next to a best western surrounded by woodland. Theres lots of parking and the staff are really friendly too. Sadly the food let this place down. We ordered steak and ale pie and honestly it wasnt the best. It had pickled onions in it which I dont feel worked at all and there wasnt much flavour either. The mash lacked flavour too and was pretty bland. Maybe another dish would be nicer but as it stands 3 stars.

Really nice and cosy. Full of character. Great selection of drinks, especially gin and rum. Amazing, Friendly staff. One especially who helped us try several varieties of gin. All for free, it was an absolutely brilliant touch of customer service and really helpful. Great food menu with selection of nibbles up to full dinners. Plenty of parking available and decent outside area when the sun is shining.

Omg. What can I say.Simply amazing. The staff are really helpful and friendly with all the knowledge you need from the kitchen.I'm an awkward vegetarian and always seem to struggle with things like chips being fried in the same oil as the fish /chicken or meat.By sheer surprise, they carter for vegetarian, vegan and gluten intolerant customers with a passionate and caring understanding.SUPER RARE!!!!The food was made to a high standard.Full of flavour and really good sized portions.I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.I
