The Admiral Wells in Peterborough

Went for lunch, with a group of friends and a toddler. Portions were massive but delicious. Very friend and efficient service. My only comment would be that we were seated in the conservatory, not all windows opened and it was really hot. We looked to sit outside but there wasn't much shaded areas to sit outside. Will definitely be returning soon!

Had a lovely couple of trips to Admiral Wells over this week, was so thrilled to see numerous vegan options. On both occasions I had the hummus and falafel baguette with chips which were delicious but can't wait to return to try the pie! Lovely and friendly service from all of the staff. Thanks for such a great visit

This is my 3rd visit to The Admiral Wells and it has never failed to disappoint. I have Coeliac's Disease and their menu has plenty of options rather than the usual one or two. The serving staff are very knowledgeable and the food is consistently fantastic. It's always a good sign when the kitchen has a window that is viewable by the public.There is a lovely garden and a fantastic play area for kids. In the past, I've always been in good weather and have been able to sit in the garden while the kids play but the weather wasn't so good this time. However, I could still supervise them just as well from my table in the conservatory.Highly recommended!

This has been my local for years. Even though I now live in Cleveland Ohio, USA I always pop in for a few pints whenever I’m back in the UK. Under the current owners, the pub has reached new heights of excellence. The beer is well kept and always taste great. The menu stretches from homestyle comfort food to quite fancy, and all delicious!!

First time we have been here, and was really pleased a lovely friendly welcome. Nice old pub. Super food, delicious home cooked and generous portions, the roasts we had were yum and dessert fantastic. Already planning another visit looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Family Anniversary, pre booked table.Good menu mid Sunday afternoon in February.We were a party of six. Good choice of beer, wine and soft drinks prior to ordering.All food arrived on hot plates, food clearly freshly cooked and of good quality, portions were large and we were disappointed for the waste.A fair choice of sweets and puddings.Good value for money.

Have had excellent food and service here on two occasions in the last five weeks. Good menu, with plenty of choice. Pleasant attentive and pro-active staff and good home cooked tasty food. Very good.

A group of pilot friends, 8 of us flew up from Denham to nearby Conington airfield and walked the 10 minutes from the airfield to the pub. We had a wonderful lunch in the conservatory area, terrific food and served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for the delightful Julia who looked after us. We will most certainly come again.

Lots of choices. The garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce are divine for any fungi lover. Burgers are delicious. Huge portions though. Our party all had different things and everything was delicious, lovely and hot. Reasonable prices too. Nice atmosphere. Lovely place to eat, & the staff are lovely too. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely Pub, friendly Staff. They even have a play area for the little ones. We’ll definitely call again.
