Good place for breakfast and casual time with friends. Tables are constantly dirty and sticky. I recommend self-service with table cleaning.

Great atmosphere and lovely style pub. Food came quickly ordered from the app but no drinks although we asked many times as did other tables we were told there was a 40 minutes wait on drinks and yet the bar staff were not at all busy, I would go again but only order food on the app and get my drinks from the bar.

Lovely meal before a night at the theatre. Was quickly ordered via the app and drinks arrived quickly to the table. The food took a little longer as the waiter couldnt find our table, claiming we had ordered to the wrong table, however our receipt confirmed the right table was entered.Instead of returning and apologising the young man was just rude blaming us for the error.AutomatAutomated ordering is a good service, however staff under pressure must find it easy to misunderstand as we weren't the only table with issues as an adjacent table had a completely wrong order. The food was tasty and piping hot, the review has slipped just purely on service.

Went in just after the football started so the staff were busy clearing up after the rush, so fair enough it wasn't perfect. The non-management staff who were on were great, but there weren't enough of them so table orders were very slow and getting our table wiped proved impossible. But plenty of places struggle to cope with temporary crowds (in our opinion, the other Spoons down the road (Draper's Arms) copes better, though).

Went there for a meal tonight. Everything we wanted was of the menu. My husband ended up with a curry(he actually wanted fish'n'chips) and I had Kentucky chicken strips(I wanted a chicken burger). That must have been the worst meal I have ever had in a Wetherspoon!!! Plus we had to deal with dirty cutlery! Never again!!

It took over 45 mins to get our pre orderd drinks. The table was full of glasses. The kept people outside far to long when there were alot of empty tables available. Some of the glasses were dirty. Very understaffed.

Pint taste awful, watery and a bit like dirty dish water, it took 50 minutes to get out food which wasn't complex order nor was it that busy. Plus the poppadom was drowning in oil and no mango chutney?

Management more concerned with closing bar earlier to go home rather than staying open on the advertised hours. They will undoubtedly try and explain this away by saying the decision was for some other reason to cover their back. They don't actually think there will be any consequences for closing the bar 20 mins earlier than usual without warning to the people inside. Will be raising the attitude problem with senior management. Was a regular here, won't be coming back anytime soon.

Apparently it had a refurbishment last year. (?) Doesn't appear to have been that extensive.Looks like it's had new carpets and seat coverings. Unsure about the tables, as I didn't examine them all.Whilst the ladies downstairs toilet has new wash basins, mirrors and taps, the cubicles don't appear much different. Although they now have a contactless flush, which is very easy to activate.Food was quite nice though, and table service was reasonably quick using the QR code. Which is now on the menu, rather than the table, as it was previously.Be aware that it gets very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. Popular with people who go clubbing later in the evening.
