The Manager who greeted us at the front desk was so welcoming. He made us feel so at ease from the get go and felt we had to give some nice feedback. The garden was beautiful with lovely little ponies at the back. Although the tables were full outside the atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were amazing and always smiling. The food was lovely and great value! We haven't been before but we will certainly be returning often now! ☺️

EXCELLENT meal - highly recommend.Came to meet family for Sunday lunch - was very impressed with the vast menu choices and allergy accommodations.Wonderful service from Linda our friendly waitress. Food was delicious. We opted for the various Sunday roast options - delicious flavors and generous portions.Lovely atmosphere, with lots of nooks and crannies for intimate settings within this large premises.I shall definitely return when I’m visiting the area again

The restaurant is a bit hit or miss. It’s popular to attract a lot of business, but when it is busy, the quality of the service can suffer, so keep your fingers crossed! The menu is varied and usually has something for all tastes. It’s usually well cooked but the service can let the restaurant down. Value for money? Just about, yes, but a close call.

Great food in a traditional British pub setting with very helpful staff. Plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options on the menu, as well as very-low alcohol drinks for those who do not wish to imbibe. We had the vegetarian Sunday roast, and a plant-based "Moving Mountains" burger. Both were very well prepared and tasty! There's a good select of beer on tap, as well as ciders, and a full bar (with a nice selection of gins). We saw lots of outside seating, and hope to be back when the weather is warmer, although we'll miss the great fireplaces they had going on this visit.

We would like thank Graham and Linda from the bottom of hearts, for making our wedding reception so special. The effort that you all put, into creating a special atmosphere, decorating the place soo beautifully, the care, details, love and attention you put into our evening. Simply can not thank you enough. Our food was amazing, so thank you both so much, the whole team, as always, were amazing. You completed the best day of our lives and enhanced the day for us.

Two weeks ago I booked a table for eight friends to enjoy a 25th celebration evening meal. On arrival we were greeting with a smile and taken to our table. I had previously sent up table decorations and a cake to be brought out when we had finished dinning. The table looked amazing all my guests were thrilled. We all had different dietary requirement that was dealt with. All of the meals were lovely. The service was amazing. Lynda was the lady who brought over the cake with candle lit to the joy of everyone while singing happy birthday. I can only say a big thank you to all the staff who made this evening so special. I recommend this establishment to everyone. Thank you all so much.

Have known this place for years but never been inside. We were quickly greeted by a friendly member of staff who got us sat in a prime location right next to the fire especially being so cold outside. The pub is very comfortable and warm the food was extremely good both me and my partner were truly blown away the menu had plenty of traditional pub food but also had plenty of other variety. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping gravy was 10/10. Sticky toffee pudding was just the icing on the cake. A really nice evening out just wish we'd known about this place sooner and will definitely be back.

Visited the Fitzwilliam Arms for an evening family meal.Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who were attentive throughout our visit. The beer garden is very spacious, well kept and over looks fields where sheep graze which I found rather charming and lovely for younger children. We ate our meal inside which again was spacious, tastefully decorated & furnished. A very pleasant dining area. We didn't have a long wait from ordering our food or in between courses, and plates were cleared in a good timeframe. The food was exceptional. I ordered calamari to start, pork for main (which was devine) and crème brûlée for pudding. All 3 courses were of a very high standard and I would recommend trying any of them. This pub really does tick all the boxes for me and we'll definitely be visiting again. A very pleasant dining experience. Lovely pub. Great staff & wonderful food.
