Had a Mother’s Day meal today. Mixed experience, first course and mains were lovely, though service was extremely slow. Two and a half hours for 3 courses. Staff very pleasant. Desserts were very disappointing, fondant was a solid mass of something not describable, did not resemble description or photos on website. Black Forest gateau was sent back as it was 3 pieces of chocolate cake with 2 raspberries and no cream. Did not resemble any thing that related to a gateau. It didn’t ruin a lovely meal but they could have done better.

Went food ok , but Onion Soup although tasty was more onion than liquid !! Would have been pretty miffed if had paid ÂŁ7.50 as an extra, also came in a very small bowl.Fish dish was lovely.Refurbishment is great nice staff & good selection of Real Ale

The Millstone has been recently completely refurbished and is now excellent. Thoroughly recommended. The layout and decor are good - cosy yet modern. The food is restaurant quality, and good restaurant at that. This may not be ideal if you’re looking for a snack lunch but it’s absolutely first class if you’re looking for a meal out. There is a lighter lunch option with slightly smaller portion sizes. The quality of the food is absolutely first class. Good ingredients and superb flavours.

We’ve visited the Millstone three times in the past month or so and have had great experiences. The food is delicious, cool decor and the staff super friendly and attentive. They made a special effort for our great grandad’s 90th birthday in their lovely private dining room. Really recommend!

They certainly make you feel very welcome and the service is excellent. The food is good value for money and although it tastes delicious, it's just a fraction away from being superb. For example, the huge chips were crispy and not at all greasy but they lacked a little seasoning and weren't light and fluffy inside. Still nice though. One tip, there's parking up the ramp from the street level car park, around the back of the pub. A lot of people parked in the street while the rear car park had several free spaces.

Popped in for a midweek lunch on a rather hot day. Unfortunately a food delivery had not arrived so the menu was very limited. No sandwiches, ploughman's, chips etc just soups, beef goulash, pizza. If we'd had time to go elsewhere we would have done. However, the soup was very nice.

A warm welcome by a lovely lady who, made us feel special. We both had the Fish and Chips which, was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that the ambience and food were wonderful and made for a lovely lunch. The two ladies who served us are an asset to you.Highly recommend. Thankyou.

I’m going to give you five stars because the restaurant and food is lovely. Friendly staff too. My only negative comment is at £16 a roast dinner most pubs in the area give you three roast potatoes and three slices of meat as a standard. (We eat out every Sunday). You give 2 roast potatoes and one slice of meat. I’ve been twice in the last 2 months and it’s happened both times. It’s not put me off as I enjoyed the food but hoping it will change.

Really nice pub. Its recently been renovated and it looks really good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was really lovely. I had lamb steak, and scallops to start. My group also had a beef burger, a steak and ale pie, and duck breast and we all said how nice the food is.👍

Absolutely first class food and drink with excellent service. Spotlessly clean throughout and easy disabled access from the lower door (steps via top). Outside and inside seating areas. Dog friendly (on lead).
