Bull Inn in Rochford

Lovely pub, great service, friendly staff and good value. I tried out their new spring menu for main courses have a Super Greens Salad with Chicken and Desserts with Caramel Banana Waffle. Also because of new food law labels of calories and good idea show high or low calories on menu.

My Husband and I went to The Bull to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They were really busy but despite this the food and service were as always superb. Our waitress Emma was great, very attentive and polite. We will definitely be returning.

Came down today on Bank Holiday Monday and was greeted in the usual friendly Manor, taking everything in their stride even though they were extremely busy.We ordered everything from the specials menu and was not disappointed... the food was outstanding and service was second to none!We were served by Rob and Jackie, very professional and great at their jobs

Had a fantastic lunch here today we've never been before but will definitely be coming back

Not a bad pub located right beside the woods with a large garden for the summer, nice food here can’t really fault the place. Only eaten the once the fillet steak I ordered but they give me a sirloin and asked for peppercorn sauce and got some other sauce they said she thinks was a beef dripping sauce. I had already poured it over my steak thinking it was a strange coloured peppercorn considering the price in comparison with other local food the bull is a lot more expensive that found me looking for the rest of my onion rings 🤦🏻‍♂️ The wife enjoyed the burger although the bun was toasted rock hard

I have been here a few times now and the food never disappoints. Staff are always engaging, and all requests are dealt with promptly.This pub is directly next to Hockley woods, so this is perfect place to end up after a long walk.

Very friendly staff, lovely job they have done with the place. Very quick service, exceptionally quick, this was probably down to the tablets the waiting staff are using now, very good idea. We did have the roast so it must have all been prepared in advance, this is a good idea but unfortunately the quality did suffer a little. Carrots a little over cooked, cabbage a little under, cauliflower cheese was nothing amazing and not very cheesy, the beef was lovely. Saying that I would go back as it was busy and these issues are probably as a result of that. I would recommend others to go there also.

Lived in Hockley for years have been pre and post fire. Great setting, really close to the woods and it’s a great venue for the kids to run around.Food is always spot on as well.

The Bull is a firm favourite of ours. We frequent the bull at least once a week...Food is decent, although some items are a bit average.Service could be better to be blatantly honest.However setting makes up for the average service.

Lovely pub, good food, great staff and very large beer garden. Right on Hockley Woods so a very nice walk afterwards.
