Potash Tea Rooms in Rochford

I've been 3 times lately and every time I've had to wait a long time for food to arrive, last visit it took 55mins! When it did arrive it wasn't very nice! There was 6 of us and all our food arrived 10 mins apart, won't be going here again sadly

Nice place, the vegetable soup and the Victoria sponge were excellent

Every visit has been great, good food and coffee

Very efficient friendly service, good selection of food. Am a frequent viditor.

Freshly made sandwiches and hot fresh coffee. The only slight downside was the volumn of noise inside. Those is not uncommon in many eateries due to the lack of soft furnishings.

Food and atmosphere fine, rather pricey and junior staff require more training.

Popped into potash tea rooms 2 weeks ago, after ordering drinks and food we paid and sat outside, after 30 mins nothing had arrived not even the drinks while others arriving after us had already been served. We chased our order and it seems it went missing. We were offered to reorder but would be another 30 mins at least, we were beginning to get cold by this point and it was raining. We were offered the drinks and a refund which we said yes to. After 10 mins the wrong drinks arrived, another 10 mins later the right ones were brought over. Before we left we checked that the refund was being processed, we was assured it was, 2 weeks later and still nothing! We paid £20 for a cup of tea and to sit outside for an hour, clearly we won't be retuning.

We had missed this Tea Room whilst it was shut for refurbishment. It was good to return. We have always enjoyed the food from the menu or specials board. The staff always make you welcome and the service is efficient but not rushed.

Great Coffee and one of the best Sausage and Bacon Baps I've ever had!

I ordered 2 afternoon teas for 1 for my mum & mum in law to give them a bit of cheer during this miserable time and they were absolutely delighted. Our family have visited the tearoom on many occasions over the years and the food never disappoints. Thank you to the lovely staff for bringing some joy to 2 lovely ladies in their twilight years.
