Regency Spice in Rochford

Absolutely shocking service. Food due to be delivered at 7pm and after four phone calls between 7 and 9pm we were told it was on it way, it us five minutes away, it's just leaving now and the last call at 9pm was to cancel the order and request a refund they put the phone down on us. The food arrived at 10pm!! We refused to accept it as we had decided to eat something else at 9pm when we cancelled. Please do not order a delivery from here.

We've been here a few times and the food is always tasty and great quality, and the staff are always friendly and very accomodating! Always enjoy our meals here, definitely recommend!

I just had a delivery from regency spice .When the food arrived it was cold . The meat was tough in the starter and in the main when tested. The food has no taste what so ever to it and dissapointly, all was very bland .This was the same for every dish .I called the Regency back in a soft but honest manner and spoke to the manager , after 5 minuites of people screaming and shouting in the back ground . I spoke with the manager and explained the food was very poor quality and he went on to abruptly threaten me not to push him too far because I said the food was disgusting. It wasn't about the money I paid it was because the food was that poor I needed to let them know.The threat has been reported to police and I will be taking this complaint to trading standards .

Turned up on time was nice and hot but I ordered from the Thai menu and had the king prawn noodles and can honestly say a pot noodle has way more flavour and only a small amount of prawn I got half way through and gave up eating through boredom I've now just put the oven on to do a pizza that I was avoiding to cook when I ordered from here sorry to say but in my experience I havnt enjoyed the food and when paying for food and still cooking after is a huge annoyance

Wow .. every single time absolutely amazing I love this place .. Paneer shashlik it’s the best EVER seriously delicious chunky pieces that no other restaurant so far can compare with! Well done Regency spice and thanks to Mac for the introduction or i would have never known about it 😀👏

Absolutely love the food here. Regularly buy takeaway, and i have eaten in the restaurant on several occasions. The decor is fantastic, the service is always professional, and i can never fault the food. Eat in of takeaway, couldn't recommend enough.

Just had our 1st takeaway from here tonight, (we usually use a different restaurant ) fast and efficient service, lovely and hot, really good size portions and very, very tasty. We will definitely order from here again and 100% recommend.

Booked the buffet for 40 people on a Wednesday evening, food was great. Staff were attentive and friendly. Fantastic evening.

Food here is always of a high standard, incorporated with a fast efficient service. Staff are also extremely amenable, whether you are eating in or having a takeaway.

The service was great. I really really wanted to like the food here but I couldn't get my head around the fact that they did Indian and Thai takeaway. The food was delivered a little late but we didn't live within their normal catchment area to be fair. Unfortunately, that's where the 'good' stopped. I had Chicken Butter and my wife had a veg Thai green curry. The chicken in my dish was so dry I literally could not eat it. It was tough too. The sauce was runny and had no flavour. The keema rice hardly had any meat in it but so many peas!! Too many peas. In fact, peas seemed to be everywhere. My wife's curry was bland and with no taste and could tell the veg was probably straight out of the freezer.We really wanted to like this but just couldn't. I was left hungry because I couldn't eat my meal. Very disappointed. Maybe it was an off night? I don't know but I hope they don't take this review as totally negative because as I said, they were lovely on the phone and the delivery guy was polite too. Please though, be good at either Indian or Thai food rather than below standard at both. Sorry for the review but I hope you can look at what's going on in the kitchen because ultimately, it's the the heart of your business.
