Taste of Raj in Rochford

This is one of the better Indian takeaways I've had. The delivery times can be a bit longer than others, but it is worth the wait. I've had one order out of 20 that was slightly wrong but hasn't put me off overall. The food is great.

A firm favourite. Hands down the best curry in Rochford! Everything is delicious and prices are reasonable. Service is good.

First time customer but will definitely be back. Lovely meal (booked through Deliveroo), quick delivery (about 5 minutes early) and lovely driver...sorry no tip, get you next time

Never had an issue with the taste of raj, Ash is a lovely man and very pleasant to deal with. Food is very consistent and caters for my dairy needs, dine in and takeaway always very nice.

Mushroom rice spectacularly bad (watery and tasteless) naan missing and poppadoms just a bag of shards. Rest of it passable but basically just ready-meal standards. Would not order from here again.

Normally would not complain as food is generally great. Tonight ordered a takeaway . When it came a dish was missing chips were cold. Called to advise this the attitude from them was disgusting no apology said we didnt order it which in fact we did. Just kept say to me look love you need to pay for it you didnt order it. Very rude looking at previous reviews im not the only one .

Sadly I’ve given this place enough chances. They either get the order wrong or it arrives cold. I had a delivery today that had the wrong naan bread & by the time the replacement arrived, my meal was cold.I’ve had another previous delivery that was meant to be vegetable curry but was mainly sauce with hardly any vegetables so I had to get another one sent out which left the rest of my dishes cold!I’ve ordered salmon masala with hardly any salmon in it, again just sauce.It used to be lovely here but I’ll find a new Indian takeaway now! It’s too much of a disappointment every time.

Have ordered from here twice and have been massively disappointed both times. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. My Naan bread is charred and black, with the charred bits all over it making it taste gritty. The Butter Chicken I ordered is watered down, runny and overly sweet, not seasoned at all and the chicken is so overcooked that its chewy and fibrous. Last time I ordered, we didn't even get the right food. On top of that, waited an hour and 40 minutes despite being in the same town. Very disappointing.
