Thamanna Tandoori in Rochford

After our food being delivered 35 minutes earlier than we were advised (this sounds good but we were still putting our children to bed), we tucked into our Indian.The biryani was just lamb and rice, with no flavour (I’m sure it normally has a bit of other things in there), the vegetable curry just tasted of veg, no curry flavour at all! The Balti Chicken Tikka, the chicken was tough and again no flavour whatsoever to the curry! A bland tasteless meal, this is how much we ate from our plates. Hardly anything! So disappointed! We would call and complain but we complained about the food arriving after 10 mins (when we were told 45 mins) and no one seemed at all bothered!We won’t be ordering again!

Great telephone service friendly staff food is brilliant every time

I've always considered Thamanna Tandoori the best, until now ! I don't know if the chef has changed, the food supplier has changed but tonight's meal was awful. Where do I start. The poppadoms were soft, I actually had to put them in the oven to crisp them up. Now I love a crispy onion bhaji. What's going on ? I have 2 portions of dry, powdery, doughy things.As for the Butter chicken there was so much oil it had leaked over everything in the bag. The actual meal looked like it had curdled, there was that much fat I actually couldn't eat it, despite my best efforts of trying to drain it off. Sorry don't think I will order from here again.

After being a very loyal customer and friend of Khan since their opening, their son has taken over and the business has gone down hill. The customer service is terrible and the son is very rude, after refusing to change dishes of an order he questions an elder who is meant to be a friend of his father, what his job is (aggressively and completely irrelevant) orders are also wrong and they fail to get orders right. Very appalling, will never return again, the business is run by disrespectful youngsters!

ABSOLUTE JOKE . POOR SERVICEI was told I would only be waiting 1 hour for my food , I waited 2 hours ! I am fuming . Disgusting place , please do not order from here . And they never answer the phones
