The Cherry Tree Restaurant in Rochford

Popped in today to treat my daughter, she just wanted a pudding, unfortunately wasn't feeling well quickly after ordering and the ladies on the bar were so kind - thanks for your well wishes.

Went here for sunday lunch,the place was quite to start with but soon filled up.We had the roast which was billed as lamb on the menu but was in fact Beef,but that did'nt matter,big yorkie pud,proper roast potatoes, no 'aunt bessie's' here,decent veg,brocolli,trimmed carrots,spring cabbage,and extra gravy.I had the winter fruits crumble with proper vanilla ice cream with the little black vanilla dots in it.Would definitely recommend,great ambience,and attentive staff.

Had a good Sunday lunch. Pork was a bit dry, but wasn't the last time we went so hopefully was a one off.Staff are nice, environment nice and lovely apple and rhubarb crumble for dessert.

Stayed 1 night but woke up and storm Eunice was knocking on the door so we had to pack up quickly and go which was a shame as I was really looking forward to the breakfast.Rooms are well decorated and comfortable just needed a few tweaks if I was to be over critical pillow cases on 2 of the pillows were damaged, i would have given 5 stars but shower was faulty and I couldn't turn the temperature down , I did report it so should be fixed now (room 3) . Staff were lovely and I would choose this place over the larger chain hotels anyway.Very close to airport and 15 min taxi ride to westcliff (in rush hour)

Came for valentines. The place was dead, prawn salad was okay but had big leafs of lettuce in a tiny bowl making it inconvenient to eat. The burger bun was cheap and soggy and the patty was half the size of actual bun. Waitress was unfortunately not friendly at all

Very lovely place.Unique peaceful atmosphere, very clean with a posh british vibe inside. Really loved itStaff is very friendly and the food is amazingInteresting fact, they also have 2 electric car chargers :)

Had a nice lunch. 'Small dishes' plenty big enough for a light lunch, and very tasty. Pies are excellent too. My parents came down for the weekend and stayed in one of their rooms - they generally stay at the rochford hotel or skylark - not any more; cherry tree's rooms are far superior.

Had dinner with my wife and another couple here (19/10/21). The place was busy, but we had booked a table. The food was varied (but not to much choice). The quality of the food was very good. However, the staff were better still. Very attentive and extremely friendly. Been here before and will definitely go again. Highly recommend this place.

We had our wedding reception here, 20 people. We had a great experience, staff were brilliant even though they were busy. The cake was set up for us. The food was lovely. Can't fault any of it. Thank you
