Bridgefoot Barn Tea Room and Farm Shop in South Cambridgeshire

Nice family run kennels, very nice people, it's all been refurbished and looks lovely, set on a farm, with chickens about, it also has a tea room just around the corner. You can buy eggs as well, so a bit of everything and you're fur babies are well cared for.

Lovely atmosphere, great home cooked food and cakes.

Based on food only.Took 25 mins to arrive, one full hearty breakfast, was really poor, two under cooked tiny sausages and bacon, by the time I'd removed all the fat from the bacon there was nothing left, toast came on the same plate and not a side plate, mushrooms and eggs were fine, kids running in and out of the kitchin, no one asked us if our food was ok, they have a lot to learn about catering and cooking and good customer service.For £8.00 for a breakfast of that quality its very poor, sorry, but even the sausages were undercooked and chipalaters.

Have used Bridge foot Farm for cattery and kennels for a few years and very happy with the care my pets have received. Highly recommend

Amazing place. The food is very reasonable and fresh. The staff are very friendly and now they have the beauty room upstairs which caters for mums and offers free childcare on Wednesday and Thursday.

Very nice. Not the fruit and veg type of farm shop but lovely bags, scarves and goodies. Food and coffee good. Good garden, suitable for children. Piggies and hens viewable.

I have been using these kennels for the 10 years that they have been owned by the present people, both for my own dogs, and for rescues, as I run the rescue for a breed club.Both my dogs are very happy to be there to the extent they get out of the car and pull to go into the kennels. There are two exercise paddocks within in the kennel block and the dogs are free [in turn] throughout the day. The 'older gentleman' is not that old as he isn't retired yet, also he, and his daughters, own and run the kennels. Unfortunately dogs do come out of kennels smelling because they [the kennels] are washed down daily with disinfectant. It is something that is beyond the control of the owners as they have to conform to local health regulations.As for the food , the dogs boarded are fed on a very good quality food that is comparable to James Wellbeloved they are not given anything that is cheap and of poor quality which is likely to cause diarrhoea or tummy upsets, especially in young puppies.In my experience, which covers a good many years, white dogs, especially when they are puppies, will stain at the back end if they pee then sit in it.I have recommended these kennels both to people who have taken on rescue dogs from me, and also to people buying pups from others. PLEASE DONT LEAVE YOUR DOG HERE(it has 90 kennels and 60 spaces for cats and only 3 members of staff were seen in total).I left my 20 week old border collie puppy at bridgefoot farm kennels for 17 days whilst i was on holiday, i dropped her off the day before my holiday and there were dogs barking constantly and only 2 members of staff present at check in (one older man and his daughter) no other staff were seen in the 30 minutes i was there i wasnt allowed into the kennels itself i was told it was too loud for me to settle her in, at that point my puppy was taken behind two locked gates and i left to enjoy my holiday. The horror was on my return to pick my puppy up again there were 2 members of staff (the old man and a different daughter) i was told my puppy had wee'd in the kennels a lot and that she was fine the whole time she was there, only when they brought my puppy out she was covered in wee (shes a white dog) but was YELLOW and stunk to high heaven (its taken 3 showers to get the yellow staining out of her beautiful coat and her basket i provided had to be thrown away, she was skinny so she hadnt been fed properly (i provided her food, i took 3 bags of food and brought back a full bag), she clearly hasnt been exercised at all, she went totally mental on the lead and shes normally really good, i was told my puppy would get walked 6 times a day and that someone was always in the kennels from 6.30am to 10pm TOTAL LIE.PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG/PUPPY PLEASE DONT LEAVE THEM HERE AND AS YOU WILL FIND THERE ARE NO OTHER REVIEWS ONLINE FOR BRIDGEFOOT FARM THEY HAVE ROOM FOR 90 DOGS AND 60 CAT SO I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ARE NO REVIEWS.
