Absolutely first class service and experience at this venue. A labour of love to create this tribute to a time gone by. Staff were very accomodating, nothing too much trouble for them. We had the Afternoon Tea in a private compartment. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted wonderful. If you want to spoil someone special this is the place to come. Thank you once again

Lovely place.. staff very helpful.. only one bad thing. Was the scone very dry & not a fan of chilli jam. If the scone was sweet & had strawberry jam would b much better.

Absolutely amazing, service was fast and friendly and the food was incredible. Loved every single thing they served except the black coffee which was just a bit bitter for me but thats personal taste. We paid extra to have a private cabin and it was well worth it. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning.

Back at Carriages of Cambridge, this time for the full Afternoon Tea experience, and wow I’m so glad I did! This time I sat in the First Class Carriage called Louis and it was everything I’d hoped for. Sumptuous, classic, comfortable & cosy, the atmosphere was lovely. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. The Afternoon Tea itself was second to none. It was truly delicious and every single component was presented beautifully. I will not hesitate to go back and enjoy this gorgeous experience again very soon! 😄

Carriages is a real gem. It's not just a place to go for a delicious cream tea, it's a really lovely experience. From the setting to the service, everything is faultless and the old type waiting room took me back to my childhood. I can't recommend this place enough.

The most amazing afternoon tea experience! Was booked as a gift for my birthday and it couldn’t have gone better. Such a charming location with authentic features! The food was delicious and very filling and even included a “happy birthday” topper. We were given 3 varieties of sandwiches, 4 desserts and a fruit and a plain scone each. We were unable to finish it all and got given a box to take the rest home.Staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, especially Stefan, who was an absolute pleasure and we were checked on multiple times for the duration we were there. Definitely worth the price (even the little bit extra for a private compartment in Oliver)!

Visited for afternoon tea today for my birthday (which was actually 11 months ago - Thanks Covid). Absolutely wonderful place, it looks so charming and is such a cool idea. We had one of the Pullman compartments on Oliver with big comfy armchairs. The food was stunning, in particular the scones and the toffee apple pastries. The selection and amount of food and drink was fantastic. The whole place was completely spotless and the atmosphere was fantastic.I can't recommend it enough, I can't wait to return.

Extremely good experience, an echo of a bygone era. The scones were freshly baked and still warm and the cream and strawberry jam were excellent. Table service was very good and the setting was immaculate with crisp fresh white table linen on the tables. A slope is provided for wheelchair access. There are tables outside but you need to be mobile enough to step into the carriages and maneuver into the comfy seats.I absolutely loved my experience.

I went on 08.09.21 for the first time, we had a private compartment for 2 people, the whole thing was excellent. A real experience! We queued up on the platforms before being shown to our compartment. The food was very good quality, fresh and interesting flavours, not just you basic/standard afternoon tea selection and a really good sized portion too. Service was top notch, and the compartments had air-con which was a very pleasant surprise on a 27degree day. Very highly recommended and I will definitely be going again.

A great afternoon out. We really enjoyed our visit. The tea was sumptuous. Tasty savouries, delicious scones and cakes. Service was exemplary. The carriages and platform/station are beautifully restored and maintained. Set in lovely gardens. I would definitely recommend this place.
