Churchill's Fish & Chips in South Cambridgeshire

A very good chipper. We had a missing item from our order - a new trainee who didn’t quite get it right - poor thing! We only realised once we were home. Rang up and the manager and they couldn’t have been nicer. Sorted us out really politely and was super helpful. The fish, sausages and chips always well cooked and tasty. They unfortunate changed to these Goddard pies recently which have more meat than Pukka pies - but the meat is very dry and tough chewy. Not enough gravy either… and a bit, well, tasteless… I won’t be trying the pies again :-( Bring back the Pukka’s people!! The scampi and chicken is always good. Fresh and juicy. Nice tables and chairs and clean and tidy. Love the staff. All every well organised! Great job guys!

Took ages for our food to be prepared...guess it's our own fault for coming around Friday evening. But it was worth the wait! The standards haven't changed since I went there over 10 years ago. The fish and chips were delicious. The portions left me and my family in a food coma for a while.

Portion sizes, especially of chips are small given the price charged. I also ordered a large cod but it's smaller than what other places call a large cod. The taste is pretty good but it's the portion size that's a bit off

Made good use of the order ahead function on the website so that if were any queues we would skip them. It wasn't too busy when I arrived and was served promptly and the food was ready to take out within 5 mins. The food when we got back home was still warm and most of us enjoyed the food. We prefer our chips slightly more crispy that the ones served but were still nice to eat.

Thought we would treat our grandchildren as they love sausage and chips. £14 for two measly portions of hard, dry chips and 4 battered sausges.....most of which ended up in the bin. How hard can it be to serve fresh, edible food! 🤷‍♀️ Won't waste our money her again. Would have got a much better meal in McDonald's!

Ordered medium cod & chips. £7.75 for cod & £2.75 for chips. All served in a box. Chips didn't cover the base of it. Mentioned the portion size to the staff & was shown a small scoop & told me they put 1 scoop of chips in. I think for the price being charged they need to reconsider the size of the portions.

Great quality fish (cod), chips far from the best

Doesn't matter the quality of the food if it turns up 1 hour after the delivery time then what's the point of having the service. Called up to check order once it was late to be told that the driver has just left.... but that 7 minutes journey never happened called backnto be told new excuse. TERRIBLE SERVICE

Used this shop twice now. Food is great but sadly I’ve always had takeaway orders. Once I’ve driven back to my place of work. First occasion no salt and vinegar on chips and no tarter sauce as requested and payed for.Second occasion really fancied steak and kidney pie. On my arrival back at work I’d been given mince beef and onion. Gutted as cant stand them.Maybe better third time lucky.

Really nice pies, chips were made from really decent potatoes so were fluff, only disappointed that they were not the battered variety that we get in the Midlands. The Chinese curry sauce was amongst the best I have eaten, was very very tasty.
