Ed’s is a significant other refuge in the Grand Arcade. Drop them off, they can get a snack, a drink, and relax while, while you shop till you drop.It was a life saver for me. I really needed a Coke Zero and a place to sit while my wife shopped.I would give them a 10 stars on a scale of 1-5 stars, just for the relief of getting to sit down.

This is a nice place just need to keep onto of things. We where seated and then a table a about 5 mins after us sat down next to us and got there order taken before us. We order drinks and the gas had ran out....We got that quickly fixed with some cans of drink and the food was delicious.A few misshaps but nothing that's couldn't be fixed.I would go back as the food was up to spec!

Definitely a nice place to grab a bite after a long stroll around the Grand Arcade. Very nice Retro, 60s diner vibes. The staff was very friendly and attentive to each customer. Definitely enjoyed the burger, fries & beer combo. The shake was very tasty as well. Definitely worth the trip if you're into Retro Diners, burgers, or shakes.

A group of us went to Ed's Diner today for lunch and were met with rude service and sub-par food. The service was slow from the start, and when our food did arrive a couple of items were forgotten, which was fine as when we made staff aware, they promptly arrived. The female member of management team, though, was rude to our table. When some sauce was requested, she pulled a face at us and eventually brought the wrong sauce and walked away before we could make her aware of this, meaning we had to pay for something that we didn't order. An item on our bill was no longer wanted (it had been ordered to take away, but because the food wasn't good we decided to leave it), and when we told our waitress Shannon (who was absolutely lovely and made our experience much better), the female manager started arguing with her or telling her off next to the table, which was very uncomfortable. Even before this, the male and female members of management had been in an argument in the middle of the restaurant about a table that was seated outside, which was extremely awkward to watch. The food was not great. The burgers were pretty bland, as were the chilli cheese fries. The oreo milkshakes were nice but the peanut butter one was awful - also the milkshake cups come half full which seems like a waste of money given that they were pretty expensive. The food didn't seem particularly fresh, so the long wait time was frustrating.Overall, the food was bad, the service was slow, and the member of staff in question was rude, and the experience was pretty uncomfortable. Big love to Shannon though, what a lovely staff member.

Needed to kill some time with the kids and happened upon this place. The kids menu is incredibly cheap and good value. £3.99 for a burger, side and drink. Delicious as well

Ordered lunch for my partner and her grandma for Mother’s Day, and after initially accepting the order the restaurant then cancelled the order because they were ‘busy’. By the time I was notified it was too late to order something somewhere else as I had to leave for work. So, no Mother’s Day lunch. Far from impressed. I can’t comment on the food obviously, but if they can’t get the staffing levels and organisation right then it’s a non starter really.

Visited ages ago in Chester and wasn't too impressed. It was the amount of the food for the price- American dinners are known for plateful of servings. Today the small portion suited my appetite but after a long wait for my order I was expecting home made food. The restaurant was poplular - quite crowded. Staff was nice.

A nice place for a lunch break in the centre of Cambridge. Nicely decorated and with comfy seats. Staff attentive and very helpful. We had the hod dog and the burger. They were a true delight and come with a good selection of sides such as crispy fries, salad, and onion rings.Make sure to get one their shakes. They come filled with whip cream, little brownies, and taste heavenly.Definitely coming back.

Nicely themed restaurant with quite a wide menu. Friendly, fast service with refillable sodas and plenty of milkshakes, desserts and sides to go with their burgers and hotdogs.

A group of four of us came and, as teenagers, the staff made us so welcome and that our service was appreciated. We were offered a luxurious booth and the restaurant had a great atmosphere! We were offered nachos while we waited for our food and the service was very quick and friendly. Drinks were even refillable and, between us, we tried the beef burgers and chicken burgers, as well as waffle fries, loaded fries and onion rings, and all of the food was fantastic. The mud pies for dessert were brilliant and we shared 2 between four of us. Thank you for a great experience and we will be so excited to return.
