Met friends for Sunday lunch, a simple menu but wonderfully cooked and prepared. Sat in lovely garden are (which has outdoor pizza oven) lovely. Highly recommended.

Tasty cakes and decent coffee. Scotch eggs looked great (although we didn't try one). Even had a fish pond to look at!

Visited this pub on way back from Cambridge just for a drink .the welcome wasn't really great although inside was very nice.the service wasn't great either .maybe this was because they where going to be busy or said they was, so quite disappointed. Unfortunately after leaving the pub we where attacked by one of the residents for parking in the street up the road from the pub .completely legally I might add .so i doubt we will visit the pub or village again

This place is absolutely amazing. I booked a room and we stayed above the Inn. The quality of the accommodation is top notch. You have your own dining room, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. The lounge has a sofa bed and exercise bike and is decorated to a high standard. In the dinning room is a kettle , coffee machine, microwave, toaster fridge and dinning table with chairs we had breakfast there in the morning. The bathroom has a nice bath, amazing shower and toilet, the bedroom has a nice big comfortable bed and tv and when the Inn emptied of the last customers the location was very quiet and peaceful and we woke very refreshed. There was a bottle of sparkling wine in the room which was a lovey touch and future impressed us. We had dinner on arrival, the Inn was very busy with people enjoying themselves. My wife had scallops and pork which looked amazing and from the small part I tasted was very good. I had venison with parmessan and tomatoes and it tasted amazing. For main course I had a Sirlion steak that was cooked perfectly with a brandy pepper corn sauce and my wife had salmon with a bbq type sauce which she said was amazing , desert was my favourite which was the best chocolate gnache i have ever tested. The owner and chef came over to say hi and check we were OK and at the end of the night if we needed anything before we retired. The price is above average, but the quality makes up for this. We will be back and stay for longer next time.

What a absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch. It was the best roast we have had for a long time! Cooked to order so not sat under a heat lamp! Nothing worse! Lovely meat, fantastic potatoes, veg, cauliflower cheese and gravy no complaints!Wanted a starters so made us a lovely salad was to die for!! And the Desert was amazing absolutely no complaints!! If you want good quality food look no further!Thanks so much

Just returned home from an evening meal at the Pear & Olive and felt compelled to write a review straight away so everyone can know how great it is and go visit!! Honestly one of the best (if not THE best) meals I’ve ever had. Lovely ingredients treated fantastically well by the chefs - it was delicious and great value. Staff were also lovely and location was perfect. Can’t wait to go back and will be recommending to all my friends. Thanks for a lovely evening!
