Very nice above average takeaway

Claims to be open on a Sunday, but phone unanswered and no outgoing message. Food was good when it was open. Is it closed for good?Update: Tried again on father's day, quick service and excellent food.

GOOD FOOD when they serv it... Ofter doesn't answer at the phone, but if you go there they will be open and food ready in 5 min.

We were the only diners during our visit on a recent Saturday night. The food was over-seasoned, but largely tasty, the service was on the verge of unfriendly (although I must admit, we made a bit of a hash ordering!) - but the main problem is the depressing and outdated restaurant, complete with paper napkins and a strange ambiance formed by a pleasant traditional piano piece on repeat, segueing painfully into Saturday night radio. Would be good for a take-away, but not a further visit without renovation and some thought about creating a dining experience.

Great local Chinese takeaway and definitely 5 stars. Delicious food and fast service. Loved the Kung Pao Chicken and Crispy Shredded (Chilli) Beef!

We have been getting a takeaway from here for many years. The last 6 maths the food has really gone downhill, the food is cold, the chicken in the noodles very sparse and the chips are greasy, floppy and been reheated I don't know how many times.After our food tonight we decided it will be the last time we get anything from there again, I wouldnt serve up food like that if it was my buisness.

My family have been ordering food for 25 yrs from here. For the 4th time in the last couple of months we’ve haven’t received full order of food or sauces and have had a human hair within then chicken balls. Tonight order came without the sauces for 2 of the dishes and they insisted we have to drive back (15mins) to collect sauces but we had already dished up the food on our plates which would result in the meal going cold. The staffed argued and shouting between themselves, before finally very aggressively telling us that there is nothing they can do and hung up the phone. Very rude staff and poorly run business now.

Great Asian food from authentic chefs, worthy of 5 Stars. However waiting staff need to understand when attending a new customer at table they cannot rush off to front of house, mid order, to take a 'Takeaway' order. VERY BAD FORM. Tai Yuen have now lost at least 2 returning clients.

DO NOT GO HERE!! My husband and 4 year old went here last night. My husband told them that my son and him have an egg allergy and they served him egg fried rice. When asked about it they denied it when clearly you could see specks of it. After 2 spoonfuls you could definitely tell it had egg and my son was feeling very ill and my husband too. When my husband complained they were very rude, still asked him to pay for what he had eaten (other dishes), they said don’t return here. I’m shocked at this. A sample of food was taken and will be reported. Terrible and shocking.

Staff is definitely not friendly but still charge you for service £6.50 in deal eat as much as you can!Decoration inside stopped in 90's definitely need improvement especially toilets. Food served after 5 minutes so definitely not freshly prepared ,each dish too salty probably to buy more drinks. Each dish with chicken prepared pretty much the same but with different sauce. For two adults and child bill just under £80 there a lots of nicer places with better food and cheaper in Cambridge.Do not recommend!
