The Beach Fryer in South Cambridgeshire

Haddock, cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. All exactly as we like it. Not masses of batter, so not soaked in oil. Friendly service.

Always tastes freshly cooked, friendly staff, good variety on the menu & reasonably priced.

Top quality fish and chips. I’ve lived in this village all my life and this place has been on the different ownership over the years but the current owners are absolutely smashing it and have been doing for some years now. Proper old school fish and chips the way they should be! Lovely staff too.

Went to Cambridge for our holidays, and was recommended here by the locals as the best fish and chips in the town, and they were not lying. Delicious fish, good size portions and the staff were so friendly. So good we went a few times on our stay, 100% would recommend.

Jst been in the beach Fryer, water beach. The cod super was unreal. The chips are great, the batter was fine and crispy.. Perfect👌!! . Really nice guy served me too. New favourite chippy,? I think so😁

Best fish and chips in the area certainly did not disappoint. Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful catering for everyone. Could not fault a thing portion sizes generous, quality fantastic and price extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!

Simple the best Fish and chip shop I've ever known! They serve the tastiest chips and best curry sauce along with the finest fish and battered sausage! The owner's and staff and lovely too! 🐟🍟

Worst chippy I’ve ever been to. Quality of food was disgusting, I ordered a burger and I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. A friend ordered fish and chips which was tasteless and vile. I’ve been working out of town up and down the country now for over 15 years and it’s by far the worst chippy I’ve ever been to. Also I’d like the add it is massively over priced but obviously been the only chippy in the area they think they can get away with it…….. SHUT IT DOWN!DO NOT EAT HERE STAY WELL CLEARIT WILL BE THE WORST FOOD TO EVER PASS YOUR LIPSYOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Just had the worst fish and chips I have eaten in a long time. How can you even get chips wrong? Not sure if ownership has changed, but I will definitely not be going there again.

Not the kind of person who writes reviews, but the fish and chips here blew away our expectations. Hands down the best we've had in the area. Cannot recommend them enough and worth going out of your way for.
