Nice gastropub. Well behaved dog was welcomed in the bar area to enjoy great Sunday Roast. Unique decor and thought the food was very tasty.

Had the Sunday roast, portions were quite small. The vegetables were cooked very lightly as I like them. The cauliflower cheese was just, well, cauliflower, no cheese. Menu in general is a bit fussy, decor is very dark and depressing. Won't rush back.

A pub that we can call our local, it’s just across the road & over number of years we’ve seen a few changes.Being a “decent” cook (my wife says I’m slightly better than that😉) I sometimes struggle to enjoy Sunday roasts but I have to say this was the best I’ve had by a country mile. The beef was cooked to perfection & the vegetables were plentiful too & packed full of flavour. I finished my meal with a very tasty cheese board & a rather sumptuous old fashioned cocktail.... the Chilean merlot paired well with the main & dessert too👌

Came here today for a Baby Shower, beautiful setting. Great atmosphere, staff a brilliant and very attentive. The calamari was a treat however I did feel my cod was a little over cooked. Would recommend to sit in the garden enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

Place it self very nice. Service was very good. Unfortunately food didn't make expectations as for what we got very pricey and not a lot. Bf fish and chips very disappointing beer was very flat . Would we go again. Maybe but probably summer as beer garden looked good.

Phenomenal venue, phenomenal decor, phenomenal service, phenomenal food. What a well hidden secret. The coolest “village pub” I’ve ever been to. Great menu, good drinks in draught, and flexible seating indoors and outs. Booked to return before we’d left! Worth going out of your way for!

Very slow service. Meal came before drinks but drink were free for this reason. Very limited menu to the point of no starters and only ice cream as the dessert. Given I was planning a 3 course meal in my head, this was very Very disappointing. Steak was good but the side potatoes and bacon salad was exactly that a couple of potatoes with some soggy bacon nor even dressed in butter. Very stingy portions all round, we all left very hungry. No children or half portions options. For the price very disappointing and would not go again. I wouldn't say social distancing was employed with tables or taking orders and no masks or other PPE used by the venue. Tried with the 50% off eat out but definitely would not return.

We had a bit of a laugh. When we gave our food order to the waiter, he gave us a ticket for us to take out to the chef to cook our steak and burger for us. We took the ticket and went out to see the chef. He took our ticket and told us to go and sit down. It was a strange way to go about it. We didn't gain anything from taking the ticket to the chef. Seems a rather odd thing to do when the waiter could have done it.When I ordered my steak they didn't ask how I would like my steak cooked. I later mentioned it to the waiter and he told me they always cook the steaks medium-rare. Well I'm afraid the steak was not medium-rare. It was welldone. On the menu it said for the Steak you can pick a side dish. I chose potato and bacon salad. I wasn't expecting a small bowl of 8 (halfs) new potatoes and a few bits of bacon. I had thought for the £25 price there would have been a bit more on the plate. Obviously on the menu that is what was said, but it is a shame. The jalapeño mayo was my favourite part of my meal, that was delicious. We have been to the Belle a few times and have always enjoyed a few drinks and a few nibbles sitting outside in the sun.We loved the decor. The whole place felt very luxurious and very well done.We will visit again as the pub and the staff are lovely, I just probably wouldn't order a meal.
