Really nice pint of Guinness or two, enjoyed after the 2.6 mile walk from the B&B that we was put up in for the night by are company. Lovely pub with friendly staff and nice customers. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area to go in and have a beer or two. Unfortunately fortunately my phone died before I got to take any more pictures.

Found pieces of plastic in my pizza and when informing the staff, they shrugged and said that they do not know about using this in the kitchen. Discourteous service. One thing we are sure of, will never visit again.

Nice pub food and service were great.

Not a bad pub for a drink but does not do food . Shame .

Best Italian pizza in the county! Very friendly staff, nice garden and good food overall. Could have slightly better selection of draft beers.

Cute place on the corner, great indoor spaces and lovely outdoor area where we sat and enjoyed a mid-bike-ride pint. They obviously had a bouncy castle earlier in the day, so we were a little disappointed not to get to play, but other than that, it was good. We saw that they have an outdoor pizza oven, the pizzas looked amazing and the feedback from the customers that had them was good.

A real disappointment compared to last year. Inside filled with flies, and fly spray was applied in an attempt to control it around the dining area. We moved outside instead, fewer flies! 'Garden' was a mess - rubbish and bits of brick and wood laying around on the grass area. Our pizzas were nowhere near the quality of last year, soggy, fell apart and not ready at the same time. One of them bore little resemblance to the type we actually ordered, the chef seemingly got that completely wrong. A nearby table was complaining amongst themselves that the pizza was rubbish and left half of theirs. The staff forgot our cutlery and the guy said he'd get some, but 5 mins later we went in to ask (as we were waving flies away from our rapidly cooling food while waiting) and he was pulling pints indoors. Said he was the barman, not waiter, but other than the chef and one of the managers sitting down with what must have been family or friends, no one else was visible the entire time. Our fries didn't arrive and we had to chase those up too. We asked for a bill reduction based on the experience, and they removed the price of our 2 cokes. All in all a real disappointment, substandard food and awful service. We used to collect takeaway pizzas regularly but I'm not sure we'll even bother with that again

Update... It has been taken over by the lovely Salvatore and Noemi. It now has an Italian feel to the food. The food is top notch. Salvatore cooks wonderful food, although the pizza chef has changed the pizzas are still good. Still a fantastic local pub, but with a great restaurant attached now :)Since Greg and Moyra have been here it is a transformed place. Best pizza anywhere, great beer and an excellent team. You will struggle to find a better village pub.

My partner and I moved to the village a year ago and eat/drink here usually once a week. The staff and management are excellent, and we love the Sicilian chefs pizzas. Excellent value and much nicer range than any pizza delivery place. And they let you order to go, what's not to love?
