We stayed at this lovely location in our Campervan for 1 night. We found it in Motorhome Stop over app. Although the services offered were not available. Elec hook up etc and no home cooked meals. The Landlady was lovely. Very accommodating and the alcohol was good too. There was no problem for food the co-op was opposite the pub and we used the Chinese Takeaway a few doors down.We Will Be back.....

Friendly service and fair prices. Everything you'd expect from a traditional English pub.

Context = walked a few miles there along the Greensands Ridge Walk in Sep-2020.Pros = Very traditional feeling pub = lots of wood and low ceilings. Friendly staff. Well set up for social distancing. Large beer garden. Clean toilets.Cons = had hoped to get food but none being served. Had emailed in advance to ask but didn't get a response. However, we were allowed to run to the supermarket opposite and bring in our own sandwiches.

This was a lovely little village pub, with good beer and friendly staff

Visited last weekend, but was severely put off by the service before even trying the food. Greeted by a foul female staff member, who after grunting us into the pub, immediately went downstairs leaving us at the bar. After 5 or 6 minutes waiting and seeing a coop opposite, we made haste...

The landlady was lovely & friendly - we asked if we could park in the car park overnight with the motorhome and she was very happy for this. We had a drink in the garden and everyone was in a great mood - England winning the quarters. Unfortunately, children were playing football in the car park and hit the van, so we moved it (not saying anything). Then they hit it again. The adults didn't notice the first time let alone the second... I asked if the 'parents' could keep an eye and was told, children would be children... We left. No reflection on the landlady - just modern day attitudes to parenting...

Friendly place and many locals to meet in here !Drinks aren't the cheapest (apart from wine, is very good value) but still affordable.Food price also bites a bit but definitely worted a try once a week or so.Well recommended for couples...Nice romantic atmosphere, lovely Italian music in surrounds and a unique decor in the restaurant all topped up with homemade succulent Italian dishes and a fine glass of wine is all u need to succeed in your relationship. Get in here asap !Great service as given to me from Reece ( a promising chap serving tables) will make your evening for sure.Mauro in the kitchen will serve u the finest Italian meal. Buonissimo! Bravo chef.Try the only Italian restaurant in surrounds, don't be lazy with take aways, fish chips or Chinese staff, come here to try real food.Grazie mille!

A classic British pub where as a stranger you get a cursory glance by all as you enter, after which the friendly locals nodded and went about their business. The Greene King IPA was delicious and crystal clear. One will return next time I am in the area. Gracias a todo :-)

Really lovely pub in this village. Been several times when in this area. Always busy with locals and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Good pub and decent food at decent prices. Worth a visit.
