First time been here, Definitely value for money, The food was really good and the portions were nice, Waitress not very friendly but rest were ok, Think main girl serving and the chef definitely make this place, Was one girl with long hair not tied up as should be just health and hygiene really..But would definitely go back and recommend

We've been past the George literally thousands of times over the past 10 years and never called in until recently. We were very, very pleasantly surprised. It has such a lovely country pub feel without coming across as pretentious in any way, shape, or form. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was excellent and overall the place had a really lovely vibe. We'll definitely call in again!

Good was fantastic and the service was great. Decor is proper country pub and a very relaxing place to be. Very good value as well.

Lovely pub, nice staff and lots of character with sowing machines and horse tack around the place. Food was lovely although some of the prices were a bit high.

Wow! The portion sizes and the food was beyond excellent! Compliments to the chef! Great value for money for the size of the meal you get back. Was able to bring the dogs and the atmosphere was great. We came in winter but hope to return in summer to make the most of the beautiful outdoor space.

Do not go to the George for a meal if you have a small appetite ☺️ I made the mistake of having a starter of whitebait and the portion was so large ☺️ I enjoyed it immensely but it left no room for my main course of Beef steak pie, which when it arrived was so large I could only manage half of the meal, my partner also had a starter of prawn cocktail which was a meal in itself, and she also could not manage her main course of chicken fajitas purely because there was to much of it. The quality of the food, the great service, and the good value is second to none and I recommend The George whole heartedly with out reservation, just make sure you are hungry when you go there to dine and I feel sure you will struggle to leave an empty plate. But I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the experience.

We booked in for an evening meal and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and the lady behind the bar and the man who waited on our table were excellent. Could not fault it in any way. Thank you. Visited Sunday 24th October at 7.30 pm.

Nice place, good atmosphere, but staff need better training. The roast lunch was tasty but only one cauliflower cheese between six of us , tiny portions of ice cream.Nice food, friendly staff but left a little disappointed.

Visited for a birthday meal. Good service, food was very good with plenty of variety on the menu and staff were friendly and helpful. Prices were fair for the meals which were very nice.Plenty of seating inside and outside and a good play area for the kids to run around after eating. Nice spot for groups.
