The Green Man used to be one of the best pubs in the area. I'm afraid that its lost some of its sparkle and two of its five stars for me.There was a mix up over our table booking which didn't get the evening off to a flying start. We thought 7pm and the pub thought 6pm. Either way, the manager seemed less than impressed with us for the rest of the evening (is smiling at customers not on the menu?)There were several items on the small menu - but we only found out after we had tried to order. My shared baked camembert was really nice. But my cod fish and chips was quite disappointing. Brilliant triple cooked chips but watery cod.The five of us won't be dashing back to the Green Man any time soon.

Lovely village pub serving great food in a lovely setting. Very friendly staff

Fantastic food, great service, and a really friendly teamManaged our special dietary requirements really wellThoroughly recommend. The only reason it's not five stars is because they'd a couple of things we ordered , but it was the last sitting, so I can excuse that

Absolutely fabulous environment for food and drinks. Excellent customer service and quality food. Really impressed and will definitely be visiting again. I personally recommend the Turkey dinner. 👍

Lovely dinner at The Green Man. Fish and Chips cooked perfectly and a delicious apple and plum crumble for pudding. Really lovely little pub with charming traditional interior.

·

The Green man was a small village pub with a menu that prioritised quality over quantity with daily changes and offered further range of tapas style dishes. Good ales and great staff. Highly recommended.

·

Had a really nice Sunday lunch. Quality food in a really nice friendly pub.

Stopped in by chance on the way back from Suffolk. The Green Man just shows what can be done with a community owned pub. Good food and drinks with excellent service. The table outside has rugs if you are cold or a sombrero and sun cream if it is sunny... Brilliant!
