The Hare and Hounds in South Cambridgeshire

Covid restrictions over, the sun is out... my little family of 2 adults and two kids under 10 were in the mood for a treat. The Hare and Hounds did not disappoint.We tried out the tofu bao buns and our taste buds were blown!Then to follow, excellent crispy and generously proportioned fish and chips for dad and the two kids, whilst mum enjoyed a lovely poached sea bream dish. Dessert was also a pleaser, the chocolate delice.Unusual i know but we enjoyed a lovely rich dark old vine zinfandel with our fish supper. And a half pint of Bambino as a palate cleanser! ;-)We left with satisfied appetites and looking forward to our next return. The menu changes every month we believe.

Brilliant pub to go to and Great customer service. Very friendly ladies serving me, my mum and dad for a Mother’s Day meal.The food is also amazing and will definitely be going back again.

Great beer, great food and lovely atmosphere! Like I say, nice range of ale type beers to choose from, and went for the trio of Sausages with onion gravy and creamy mash..... delicious! Would definitely recommend visiting this pub if you are in the area!

Excellent community run pub. Good selection of real ales and cider. Did not eat, but I understand the food is good as well

From the moment we entered this pub the staff were welcoming and friendly. They made our night so enjoyable that we will most definitely return for a night out and a meal. The facilities were very clean. As was the pub itself. The only thing wrong was that they did not stock any Malibu. Although. The staff said if we telephone before We go they would get some in.You very rarely get service like this anymore. Well done all the staff. And thank you.

Fantastic pub! Really nice feel to the place, delicious food and very welcoming! We were awkward and asked for a couple of adjustments to some standard menu items and they were very accommodating and adjusted some meals as requested without any hesitation! Food was of high quality and cooked really nicely! Will definitely return!

We came here with our baby daughter and the bar man couldn’t have been more accommodating. Amazing pies, great ales and a lovely friendly atmosphere.
