The John Barleycorn in South Cambridgeshire

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, an all round typical English pub. We love this place!

The beer is very, very good but on the expensive side. A pint of Green King Abbott Ale is nearly £5. The pub is clean with plenty of tables to sit. The atmosphere is perfect for a group to meet up and have a good old fashioned catch up without having to shout. The food is also expensive but again, very nice and the portions are good. Well worth a visit.

A real find. Helpful and friendly staff, quiet well appointed and clean rooms, a superb location, and adjacent to a small country pub. I cannot recommend it enough.

Great place to stay for IWM Duxford just a few minutes away. Very friendly landlord very helpful. Great beers and a good wine recommendation. Room (just 4 available) comfortable. Superb evening meal. The chef is excellent. Good breakfast. Really lovely experience.

Beautiful olde pub, staff were friendly and efficient, service and food were incredible...without a doubt the best burger I've had (8oz marrow and steak burger). The selection of beer and spirits is again second to none. Outstanding pub, great food and very reasonable prices too.

Lovely pub and staff etc also a lovely village but there was a problem with our shower -- the cold water pressure was practically nil which ,as you can imagine, doesn't give a chance for a decent shower !.Another moan was the television -- it was something like a 18 ins screen and if in bed ,the screen was about 17 feet away so very difficult to see ( and I've got good eyes /

Ten of us enjoyed a lovely evening at The Barleycorn yesterday evening. The pub was full of people making for a good ambience. The food was excellent and nicely prepared and served. The staff were first class. Two of us had a similar evening the previous week.

Had a great weekend up there and visited here Saturday night nd Sunday for dinner..both meals great and staff fantastic.. can't wait to go back there again as been few times before.when doing event's in that area..

Fabulous meal at John Barleycorn pub in Duxford. Great fish n chips, big portion size snd good price. Too full for a dessert so had a coffee and chocolates. Super friendly staff, nothing is too much bother. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend eating at this great pub.
