A friendly welcome, a lovely room and great food. I had the Matteo Calzone (first time). I'm not a pizza fun but found this dish very enjoyable, tasty and very satisfying. A great team, thank you, we're looking forward to visiting again.

Nice enough place, a lovely beer garden for the summer months. The food was ok, but nothing I would be rushing back for. Service was very enthusiastic. It does say it is dog-friendly but I'm glad I rang up to check as the entire dog-friendly section had been hired out on the evening we wanted to go, so I wouldn't just assume you could take them if you were hoping to be inside.

Lunch with long term friends who recommended this restaurant/pub. Greeted cheerfully and shown to our table without fuss by the head waiter who flamboyantly gave us details of the specials of the day.A good menu and comprehensive wine list. All in all, we spent a couple of hours enjoying our lunch , generally chatting and enjoying our time together. Would I go back there? YES!!

Went here recently and had a really nice experience. While they were clearly very busy, service was always very good and took the time to check in on is. Food arrived promptly and still piping hot. Portion sizes were also fairly good for the food we had. Would certainly recommend.

Not amazing for vegans but I’m thankful for the options they did have. And they make the effort on their menu to indicate the different dietary options. The service was really good and welcoming, especially the young blonde waitress, really accommodating and made us feel comfortable. The interior is really nice, lovely fire place!!!!

Lovely place to eat. Went lunchtime new years eve with two other families. The food and service were perfect. The pub dealt with our table of 13 with the right combination of ease, professionalism and friendliness

Great food in a nice country setting, just a few minutes drive out of Cambridge city centre. Large car park. Lovely setting and ambiance. We had the beefburger and the veggie burger, both nice and reasonably priced. Quite during the afternoon, so quick service.

One of the best Sunday Roasts around Cambridge.Food is as tasty as well presented. There's also a rather cosy and distinguished atmosphere.Service and overall quality above the average pub.

Attended the Plough for Sunday roast last week and have to say was disappointed. There was no space inside, despite us reserving a table, but that was fine as the external seating area was delightful. So far so good. However, the staff were friendly but not particularly attentive, as they failed to get our water out to us and took ages for our plates to be cleared. We all ordered Sunday roasts which was brought out after no less than 10 minutes, which was a pain as I wanted to enjoy the scenery and my beer a little while longer. I was also saddened that a gastropub has no local beer on tap. The roast, whilst looking spectacular (and pricey), was disappointing. However, I have a feeling this was maybe an off day. I would come back in the future, not on Sunday and definitely not for the roast.

These guys take a lot of pride in what they do and to make it a pleasant experience. Food was amazing. Management clearly work hard and want everyone to enjoy the meal. All the staff were friendly and the menu is a nice balance between the fancy meals and the simple stuff done well. Reading some of the negative reviews about the small portions is unfair, more money doesn’t mean more food, that’s like saying why buy a Ferrari when I can buy a van for 10% of the price and you get so much more space, you’re paying for quality, ingredients and atmosphere. Thank god I don’t own a restaurant, people are clearly impossible to please.
