After searching online for somewhere to eat early with our grandchildren (between 4pm and 5pm) this establishment sounded perfect. I phoned 4 times, at various intervals and dates only ever to get an answer machine on each occasion. I read the reviews and followed the instructions on the answer service and booked on line. On arrival we found the establishment to be closed. While outside I checked the site opening times again, to see it was showing as open at that time.I'm afraid, 'once bitten, twice shy' applies here and we will not be returning, sorry.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, very nice staff. Great looking pub, very relaxed.

Absolutely brilliant with live music, excellent selection of beers (even if I stick to just the Beavertown). Excellent owner, love the old-school music posters/magazines wallpapering in the toilets as well.

A lively pub which attracts folk of all ages for its good fayre, ales and ciders, this place can become busy at popular times but it's large rear garden provides extra space in fair weather. A team of friendly, welcoming and, importantly, enthusiastic staff provide good service. Regular events might include beer and music festivals, live musical evenings, various quizzes and craft fairs etc.; in fact, it seems nothing is impossible here. A side carpark is provided off an attractive village lane. Popular with walkers and cyclists as well and there's even a nearby rail station and wildlife park.

An incredibly homely feeling pub, the selection of drinks is vast and all fairly priced. The staff are very friendly I will be going back again and would recommend trying the place to anyone.

Good, friendly pub with live music, attentive staff and a great selection of food. I went on Wednesday evening for the live music and it was 3 bands with good audio and a nice stage space.

Very cool. Just nipped into the pub to pick up some food from a food van. They had a band playing nice music and everyone was really friendly. Sat and had a quick beer while waiting for my food. Definitely going to go back and experience it properly!

A friendly community pub that has a good selection of Real Ales (pumps on the bar and American style on the wall/ beer menu board). Nice food. The pub is not much to look at from the outside, but they have really made an effort with activities (e.g. board games might) and live music. Dog friendly.

Nice friendly pub. Nicely decorated toilets. Good selection of real ales. Fun kids area out the back in beer garden with swings and slide
