Although I didn't stay at this location I'd give 5* . I atteded this location for a thanksgiving celebration of a lovely lady who had passed away. The celebration was held in a lovely spacious marquee in the grounds, there was plenty of parking for able bodied and disabled drivers. The venue was very peaceful, the thanksgiving food was very tasty and a variety of good food choices, as well ad soft and alcoholic drinks available. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is placed in a beautiful location and it makes it easy to 'pause' when dropping someone off at Stansted airport and travelling back to Dorset the next day. It could do with a bit of a clean; in our toilet the ridges showed dark mold, spiderwebs and ant traps in the pool area, cigarette butts in the garden area. In the dining area (bar) the lamp shades were dusty and and looked dirty. It has a lot of potential but could do with some attention, love and a clean.

We stayed at Quy MIll after our wedding and it really didn't live up to the cost. The room was tired and we couldn't either use the extractor fan or the ceiling fan due to them both being noisy. The blind above our bed didn't shut the light out well, and the bathroom seemed a little "grimy" not in the sense of not being clean, but rather things like sealant needed attention. The bed however was comfy and the staff were mostly good, the spa is less of a spa and more of a mini leisure center, not much to say about it, it was fine - but not the luxury one expects with spa in the hotel name. On checking out the receptionist gave me a very displeased look when I gave honest feedback about our stay. If you don't want feedback - don't ask.The food however was the saving grace, it was delicious! So props to those staff working in the kitchen :)!

Due to an emergency medical issue, we had to dash down to Cambridge from the North East at very short notice. The hotel went above and beyond in sorting out a room, providing food out of normal hours and the staff were so caring and considerate, especially the duty manager. Although we weren't able to use the many facilities due to circumstances the room was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

We went there for a meeting and had a great experience. From the service, to the room, refreshments and views, everything was really good.We have used other places in the past, but this one is definitely better suited, as well more cost effective.Thank you for accommodating. Keep it up with the great service.

We have just held a reunion at the Hotel. Hit by Covid, we only managed to have 8 of us but we had a lovely time. There were some difficulties with arrangements prior to the visit but I cannot fault the service when we arrived. The rooms were nice. The SPA was an extra bonus and we had a great group meal. Many thanks to all the staff especially Veronika and the Barman. Sue

We were slightly disappointed with the the lack of attention to detail. After checking in we went to our room to find the door held open by a bag of dirty laundry and dirty cups next to it. We reported it to reception who immediately gave us another room. However, we felt that it all needed a repaint and spruce up. Some of the lights in our room didn't work, the cupboard door hit a lamp when it was open. The hairdryer didn't work, carpets needed a good clean. The spa needed a refurbishment and the hotel information book needed to be reread and checked for spelling mistakes. The food was lovely and the staff friendly. Location was convenient for Cambridge and exploring further afield.

Nice, quiet hotel relatively close to Cambridge centre. Rooms are in separate blocks to the main bar and restaurant area. Rooms finished to a good standard and had a good nights sleep due to the tranquility. Evening meal and breakfast were good quality and tasty. Not the cheapest place, but not a surprise this close to Cambridge. Would recommend and will stay again if in the area

I had arranged for a morning spa session for my pregnant daughter's baby shower and had booked treatments for 4 of us, followed by afternoon tea in the Orangery for 12 people. The spa morning was lovely and the spa staff were very helpful and friendly and the therapists were excellent; however, I was very disappointed with the service that we received in the hotel in the afternoon, despite the fact that I had paid £175.00 for the room and each of the 12 ladies had paid £22.50pp we were largely ignored once the tea had been served and the waitress who bought in the cake stands made it very clear that she didn't even want to be there! We had to go hunting for staff to ask for jugs of water and coffee; I really would of thought that as we had paid a total of £445.00 for the afternoon teas that a member of staff would of come in to see if the tea needed replenishing and if everything was in order. The food itself was very nice and the room was great; a friendly service would of made an ok experience a very good one.
