Excellent pub food. Highly recommended

A recent overhaul in all aspects has brought a contemporary feel whilst still retaining the traditional charm.An excellent selection of largers, ales, spirits etc.A new menu built around a committment to source local, quality ingredients.With the passion that's clearly evident from the landlord and his team this pub deserves to do very well.The pub is reasonably inside so I would recommend booking in advance. The exception to this would be on a sunny day as the pub benefits from an enormous rear garden.

We walked a long way to get to this pub and when we arrived we were starving! It turned out that the pub was just about to host a wake and they weren’t really serving food. The owner was so kind and said she would make us lunch, she could easily have turned us away. Our sandwiches were great and came with the added bonus of chips!

Havnt been in the waggon for a few years but will definitely be going back again! Me and my daughter popped in after a little dog walk! Friendly staff, dog friendly environment and even put on some entertainment to keep my daughter occupiedCan’t wait for see the refurb and go back for some food next time

Did not enjoy at all. There were kids screaming and running about in the pub area and the TV was on some kids show at an almost unbearable volume. Will definitely not be back anytime soon.

Fantastic pub , food was imo all fresh , portions were excellent , was always being asked if enough and would we like more , landlord very pleasant , and you girls serving were so nice and helpful . Would highly recommend, and will definitely return when in area next .Thanks all for fabulous dinner 😁😁😁😁

Wonderful welcome from the staffNice pint of beer and our meal was second to none love this place and we shall returnThe only thing I could fault was the toilets needs a make over and quiet sure that will be done very quickly

Must have changed owners or chef...completely disappointed with the Sunday dinners being served now.We have visited here for a number of years for Sunday dinner as they have been amazing, large portions and so much taste. Not anymore, small, undercooked, tasteless and cold.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Such a shame the food isn't what it used to be. Upset we won't be returning after so many years of enjoying the beautiful pub.

Amazing food and really welcoming place. Nice music and drinks.
