Black Swan in South Norfolk

We’ve been coming here for many years now and it’s a lovely quiet place for a peaceful lunch. Family run and decent food. Best of all is the pretty, well cared for garden which is perfect on a warm sunny day.

Lovely out of the way pub in a quaint village which serves tasty food. Very friendly welcome and a surprise aquarium that entertained the children.

Great pub for a drink. But food was a let down. Bland, dry and not very hot. Had to wait a long time for pudding menu and ended up having to ask for it. Not very attentive staff. Very overpriced for what you get.

Lovely pub in a superb location next to a historical bridge and the river waveney .Good food and service lovely beer garden and if like us you are a member of the motorhome caravan club they also have 5 electric pitches . Have already made plans to return

I worked in catering for 45 yrs, Inc' Fortnum & Mason . . One of my friends is a chef. While the food was good , there was room for improvement , the rib eye was a little " ropey " and the salmon & Ginger needed a little something extra on the plate the saute pots/ chips need some thinking about . Then there would be no contention over pricing . We did enjoy ourselves and I do know from experience what a tough career catering is . Having said what I have I would go back again , its just a bit of tweaking that is needed Lovely pub , very nice staff . All the best .

Took mum here for a meal, fantastic food. I had the slow cooked beef ribIt just fell off the bone, delicious.mum had the liver bacon and onions and she said it was also delicious. Top marks from us. Excellent service as well, a well run pub.

We were looking for a nice country pub for a Sunday roast whilst visiting family and this certainly did not disappoint. Very welcoming staff, food was great, large portions and very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again in the future.

The food was devine, we went for the burgers and they were very nice. The decor is really nice and they had the fire going so it felt very cosy. They also have a rather lush fish tank with a dori and a nemo to look at which was very nice.

Fantastic service, large drinks choice, wide variety for food for big meals of a quick snack. Only thing I would say is add tartare sauce to the whitebait starter as it is really missing it and better chips as they are not terrible but not great and let the meal down a little bit I’d guess they are frozen not freshly made.

Absolute banger of a meal, gorgeous gardens, lovely staff and great price. Perfect place for date night
