Fortune Wok in South Norfolk

We tried the Fortune Wok in Wymondham for the first time and would rate it as average. On the plus side it was reasonably priced and had huge portions, but the egg fried rice was like no other I'd ever had before being very brown with no sign of any egg in it. The chicken balls were big and plentiful but the tub of sweet & sour sauce was very small, which meant it was quickly absorbed by the rice leaving the meal rather dry. Would I go there again? Probably not, although many reviewers seem very happy with the food served there, I'll stick with the Sun Rise Chinese in nearby Hethersett which I've always found to be excellent

Ordered last Eve took 1hr &10 mins to arrive and the egg fried rice was horrible and burnt . The previous time I ordered I got the wrong rice!

Had a takeaway last evening from Fortune Wok in Wymondham. It was all okay except beef chow mein which tasted burnt. What hadn’t been dished up onto plates we took in the container back to them. They said it wasn’t burnt it’s because they use very hot oil and they would not reimburse us because we had eaten some. Actually we each tried it and said it tasted burnt. Didn’t realise I should shovel it off our plates and put back in the container!!!! I’m a pretty good cook and use hot oil when cooking and if you don’t the oil seeps into the food. That was definitely tasting of burnt and I shall not be using Fortune Wok again

Called, 16 attempts to get through but assured the food is worth it.Finally get through, 30 minutes until food ready, seems ok.Turn up 30 minutes later to collect my food, and wait....and wait. After 45 minutes waiting I ask where it is. 10 minutes later it appears, no apology given. Many people served ahead of me, other people waiting longer than me.Allowing people in, no social distancing, staff do not appear to have masks on, no anti-bac in sight.Really not worth the wait, there's 3 other Chinese restaurant's in Wymondham, I'll be using those in future.

Ordered from them tonight at 5.20, told a 1 hour to 1hr30 min wait for food which I thought was fair as it is New Years Eve. Waited 2 hours then called to chase as nothing had come, was told it would be with me in 20mins. Waited another 45 mins and still nothing, so called again and was told I either had to wait another 45 mins or I could cancel. Absolutely outrageous, won't be ordering from here again.

This is one of the best Chinese take away in Wymondham and I highly recommend this place .food has full of flavours and less greasy. The whole family really enjoyed.

My partner ordered from hear alot when he lived in wymondham, after trying several others, can safly say this is the best chinese take out in wymondham.I ordered for the first time last night for my self, the staff were super friendly, and the food arrived quickly and was delicious, i had the egg fried rice and satay chicken which i will definitely have again.

Had a delivery to an awkward address as we are camping locally at Swans Harbour, Marlingford, which seems to have a difficult postcode. The delivery guy rang for further details , the food was still hot and great, will use regularly whilst we are here. Have put the menu up in reception.

I've been using this Chinese for years. Current owners produce very tasty and quality food. The young chap on saturday nights working behind the counter is very polite and a pleasure to see and to recicve good service :-).
