Beautiful hostel in the lovely village of Grasmere. Rooms were basic as expected, but a sink and mirror in the room. Comfortable bedding and a light for each bedspace so you can still read without waking everyone else up.

I camped out on the grass while doing the coast to coast, cost £15 which was on the high end of the camping I did but it had all the necessary facilities

I'll contribute all 5* for location, service and rooms as well. Rooms are very clean with pillow and dovet, you can make your own breakfast at kitchen but you need to bring the foodstuffs all utensils will be available.Beautiful dining area and the ambience is so nice and refreshing. Wordsworth daffodils garden is very near.

Stunning place I saw 2 deer 1 male 1 female. I don't like how you here people around your room and I hated the bunk bed I was in the lodge facing a car park. I liked the lounge just wish it had more to do in there. It was 40 pound for 1 night in a small room with a bunk bed, at least I had a sink to look at tho😄

Very comfortable stay for a really reasonable price. Spacious kitchen for self catering, or close by to other nice places to eat. The lounge is comfortable for an evening of games or reading.

Great hostel in an idyllic location. Made very welcome by Craig in reception and the lovely lady who made dinner for us on our second night (sorry, didn't get your name). Highly recommended.

A fantastic hostel, all the facilities required for hiking and/or enjoying The Lake District. The staff run a tight ship which is necessary to ensure a clean, modern well organised hostel. It close to the centre of Grasmere.Contains a campsite with Shepherd hut style cabins.I enjoyed staying here 👍👌

Good hostel. Nice and comfy single person bunk beds. Nice location. Close to bus stops to Ambleside and bowness pier.Starting point to many trek trails.Very close to William wordsworth's grave and the daffodils garden.Nice eateries and pubs around. Close to co-op.Also has a private camping site next to it.

Me and a couple of mates had a lovely stay the this hostel. Everything was perfect. The staff were great and spectacular walking/hiking on your doorstep. My only disappointment was receiving a parking ticket/fine for parking in the hostel car park. At check in there was no mention of needing to supply any details and after a long drive I didn’t think of asking. If you are parking in that car park I would recommend you mention that at check in. Ultimately it could probably be argued it was my fault but not what I expected after paying to stay there. Other than that would highly recommend!

Lovely grounds in a lovely town. Great and friendly staff. Can't fault it. Room was comfortable and clean. Facilities were good with nice hot showers. Good walks nearby especially on the hills either side of the lake and the walk to Alcock Tarn.
