Popped in here with a group of people, they came to take our order from the table after a little while. We ordered some drinks then a little later ordered some mains, while the others ordered a starter. The starter arrived, our mains however took over an hour to turn up, which isn't brilliant to start off with, and I'll say the food itself really wasn't worth the wait..dry chips, inedible bun, and over cooked/charred hallumi. The menu for a gluten free was small, but at least they had one.I'm not sure I would likely come back again.

Just called in for a quick lunch. Nicely cooked fish, chips a little overdone but still acceptable. Service was fine and friendly. Toilets lovely and clean. Prices fine.

After a few issues with the new booking service, I messaged the manager directly and booked a table for nine plus small dog. The food was lovely and nice and hot. Service was excellent and the manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely book again.

Popped in here on the way past and I had the veggie mushroom pie with mash and it was delicious. Couldn't fault it tbh. My husband had scampi and chips, he couldn't fault that either. Service was efficient and the staff were all polite, will stop in again :)

I had a lovely chicken burger and service was great. Only fault I'd say is the small portion size of the chips and definitely coleslaw, I doubt there was even a spoon full of slaw. Some salad on the plate would be nice too.At the end we went to the toilet and there were feces in the pan that had been left.Apart from that ok.

Although the waitress was friendly, upon arrival we explained that we had reserved a table however no interest shown and we were advised to sit anywhere. We ordered our food and it did come in a timely way. However the seasonal veg which we both had with our mains was really hard, I couldn't cut into the brocoli without it bouncing around my plate.and my hubby's was the same. It was wasn't busy at all, however nobody asked out of the 3 bar staff, looking at their phones asked how our meal was. Not even when my hubby paid. To be honest if they hadn't of been running the offer of 30% of mains, I would have felt completely ripped off. Have visited The Thatchers Needle loads of times previously, however because of the above wouldn't be visiting again in a hurry!

Called in on the off chance there would be a table spare for us- the gentleman behind the bar was very helpful, advised of availability and that he would get us a table within 40 minutes. We enjoyed a walk to the park where we enjoyed playing for a while, then continued walking around the fantastic historic, pond (do check out the history of this basin, it’s very intriguing), which took us back to the Thatchers Needle at the right time. With the two adults and our four children, we enjoyed the halloumi fries, and breaded mushrooms as sharing starters. For mains we enjoyed two of the beef roast dinners, a cheeseburger meal, and three children’s meals. These were presented and served very well by the serving team- as were our drinks and desserts (far too tempting!!!).All in all, a great meal with excellent service, enjoyed by all six of our family. The beef was absolutely delectable!!! Cooked to perfection.Thank you; we most definitely shall be visiting again soon.Maximum Six smile rating from us😃😃😃😃😄😃

Great pub opened and prepared to serve us a meal at 8.30 in the evening. Staff very friendly Covid regulations adhered to and high standard of cleanliness. Very good pricing, just the place to drop in if you need a quick meal.
