Lovely restaurant and bar.. takes you back to the old country pub feel.. food is fantastic

Was so looking forward to a meal here with my 2 daughters but sadly I won't be returning. The USP was bringing their dogs so we thought "great"The meal was average, but my autistic daughter ordered a choice from the menu and was presented with something different, which the waitress said that was what she ordered. She hadn't, and it was handled appallingly, so much so that my daughter wouldn't have anything else, and it ruined her evening.

Nice meal in a busy pub. Menu was broad although slightly different from what is on the website. A littler pricier than many rural pubs. Service was very good. I was impressed that there were 4 real ales on (Ghost Ship, London Pride, Black Sheep and Titanic Plum Porter).

Enjoyed a really scrumptious lunch at this beautiful pub. Great food, friendly staff, and even a special doggie menu for the hound. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Amazing atmosphere and food! Went for a weekday lunch and a Sunday roast, cannot fault the food at all.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was like home and the people are so kind and fun!

Have been three times in the last 2 weeks. Great place to relax and eat great food. The dog loved it and even made friends with Clover the pub dog. Will be going back to try the roast next week hopefully.

Lovely pub, great decor and friendly helpful staff. Spent an afternoon enjoying the atmosphere and just missed lunch time. Not to worry will be back to indulge as it all looked very nice. Would recommend.

Went for dinner with my family and was very impressed with both the food and the service with the added bonus of the pub itself being lovely and quaint with its decorations and log burning fires.3 of us got starters, a goats cheese and pesto salad and two shrimp and chorizo on bread with Chili jam. I’m a pescatarian but because all the food is made fresh to order I could ask for mine to have no chorizo, which was a lovely surprise as not many places are so accommodating! And it was delicious too, lovely big prawns.For mains I went for the beetroot risotto with sweet potato, which was delicious, my brother got the burger and myParents made the most of the two steak meals for £20 and neither could finish their whole plate because was such a generous portion but they both said it was great.Me and my dad shared the sticky toffee pudding, which was another big portion and that’s always amazing because nothing worse than a small dessert!With everyone having the equivalent of two courses each along with a bottle of wine and some other drinks, the bill wasn’t even near £100 so everything was very reasonably priced and would definitely come back to try more things on the menu and would recommend it to anyone who asked! I hear they’re doing a pizza night on Fridays now so I think that will be our next visit
