Best chips around - great variety of extras

·

A fish and chips were lovely and the curry sauce was a dream. The mushy peas were good as well. The staff were very friendly and chatty even though it was quite busy

·

The best fish and chip shop. Scampi and chips were amazing. The menu is simple but perfect for a chippy. Staff are friendly. Reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed as always.

·

Always great fish and chips. Very generous portions too.

Portions are to small, pricey and is hardly ever open.Looked online closed four times a week out of a possible seven. How do they make 💰?? Very disappointed. Will go to Stoke Holy Cross in future.

·

The staff are very friendly and remember customers regular orders. The chips are well cooked and tasty, I love their goujons which are very nice and not expensive. I look forward to my weekly visit.

Myself and a little boy used to come in as he loves sausages. A bit disappointed as no card payments. I feel this is very outdated. I said so to an assistant and she was slightly rude in replying. Only cashpoint available is in Budgens down the road and this is quite often out of service. Wat to do when people have no cash available. Especially in times of hygiene and health and safety. Need to start thinking of setting up card 💳 payments. Also one cannot help but think that cash payments are rather dodgy as no need to declare everything.

·

Food is ok but expensive. Found it quite ironic that with the safety and social distancing measures in place they then only accept cash and pass money backwards and forwards - what century are we in again where a card payment isn't an option?

Friendly service but Tiny cod for £4, is like a child's portion. Under cooked chips and over cooked fish that was so chewy. Waste of money, much better fish and chip shops around!

Polysterene is of great quality so are the paper bag, staff are lovely and very kind. Stoke holy cross is better but i like poringland just as much. The food prices are good probably gone up slightly due to the EU result but defo should go there. Chicken nuggets and cod is v nice and a good combo.
