Really nice pub a little way outside Norwich. Kids loved the excellent burgers and the 2 meat carvery was really good and plentiful. Dog friendly after 3pm was a big bonus too. Very friendly staff made it a lovely experience. For those who love Fawlty Towers, Basil and Manuel are serving in March!! Have fun.

1st visit last night. The pub was very busy with a regular quiz night. There was a bit of a delay but the staff were attentive and apologetic. Excellent service, well run pub. Food was scrummy. Outside of our normal patch but if we’re passing, we’ll be back

Won a Facebook competition for 2 carveries & desserts. It was incredible! The pub itself is gorgeous and we had a table with a view out the window of a beautiful waterfall in the pub garden. The food itself was incredible, the meat was so tender and wonderfully cooked, the vegetable selection was fantastic. I recommend getting there early to get the best selection!Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful meal - and thanks for the win too 😀 😊

We visited today for a Sunday carvery. The food was faultless. The meat was succulent and plentiful. Veg was a fantastic choice. Especially loved the cauliflower cheese. The desserts were well presented and delicious. Staff on carvery and our waitress were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

Went for Christmas lunch, just not that great. Cooking of the main course wasn't great some was under the heated lamps for too long and service was slow. Got the bill wrong and management was not helpful. Not going back !!BELOW HAS BEEN ADDED SINCE WE GOT A REPLY FROM THE MANAGER/ OWNER.I think we we're forgiving for the fact that service was slow and the main course was not up to par. If we had been warned that there were issues with staff that would have been nice but nothing. It was our Christmas day dinner, the nugget and chips x2 were forgotten, I had to chase up everyone else had their food, but the two kids meals (sore point) they actually forgot and when we kept sending the main courses back x3 (the other kid's meals) saying they were meant to be kids portions we were ignored until we got to the bill. Meant to be special day out, but by the time we had left nothing but a bitter taste in our mouth. And the manager said to my daughter if you come back ill give you a free bottle of wine.... love !!Like I said never going back. £40 was and is an insult.

Had an enjoyable meal at The Gull with family on a weekday evening. There weren't many people there. The food we ordered was good, there were no issues with it, we enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and polite. My only criticism would be the cost, I found it to be expensive for what it was.

Sunday lunch and the car park was full. Family lunch for 6 adults. Felt the pub was losing its ‘pubiness’ as had to be seated at our table and wait for waitress service to get the drinks round before the meal was ordered.Unusual way to price the Roast meals with 2 or 3 meats choices, meaning less amount of meat given for less £s? Served vegetables instead of choosing oneself.Waitresses disappeared after deserts were served - could have asked if more drinks/coffees required.Seems a £ was added to my pint of IPA, to my £13.95 roast and my £6.95 sticky toffee pudding - over priced in comparison to expectations.Lots of people unmasked at tables in close proximity to each other - no ventilation so was a little aware of Covid risk.First visit. Looks worth another when attractive outside area would spread the load.

We came in Friday I had the fillet the misses have the cottage pie, food was good steak was lovely but once cooked it was tiny and for 30 quid was abit disappointed, We also had starters and basically as soon as we'd finished we had the mains brought out (could have done with abit of a breather) the young waitresses wernt very professional as my misses over heard a couple conversations she shouldn't of and it made her feel uncomfortable. Also lady behind the bar was wandering about coughing not covering her mouth which put us right off. Will we come again? No sorry also I'd like to edit this review you first off stared telling us spring roles wernt off the menu then to our surprise the table behind had ordered spring roles?! Something that we would have loved to have! Also everyone seemed to have to Been sat up the top in the same pace when you have an entire restaurant to seat people with covid and all that jazz you'd have though if you had the space youd space people out about

Fabulous Sunday carvery in the garden with the family. We arrived later (about 5pm) and sadly some of the meat choices had sold out. It's a slightly more expensive carvery, but very good quality meat and vegetable choices. Lovely yorkie too!The pub itself has lovely decor (beautiful ladies loos!) and very nice gardens. Kids meal choices were not to my children's taste so they ended up with adult meals. Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

Delicious food on the whole (sticky toffee sundae tasted great but very grainy texture from crystallising sugar) and efficient service. Tiki huts are great for distanced meals. Was slightly odd being seated right next to the only other table indoors on our last visit
