Seven of us for lunch, very slow and very empty. Almost walked out waited so long to pay. No body on duty, one of our party shouted out ," if someone doesn't take our money soon we are walking". They appeared,, he said he was the manager. We also had to ask for our dinner, fish n chips we all felt the fish was fried twice? Very very dark batter and hard enough to do teeth damage. The desert lemon tart, tasted like it was days old, menu stated with chantilly cream. That was a 100% false description, the cream was on the plate from a smear from the back of a spoon. Could not even lift it from the plate it was so small. Told the manager and his reply was " it did have the cream for decoration. OK but don't advertise the lemon tart with chantilly cream, and charge for it. We are not fools, there are 6/7 of us that come to the Ram often. Sadly never again. SUSAN GARDINER

And the food wow out of this world I've stayed and eaten in some of the best places in the world but this little pub has my top ratings. If you stay here the breakfast is a whole new level outstanding.I would like to personally stay and great big thanks to all the staff who work so hard and make the effort to make my stay a home from home.Good luck to each and everyone of you il be booking with you all again soonKind reguardJonathan ward

Just used the pub/ restaurant...went in with our 2 dogs. Was greeted by friendly staff who showed us to an impressive area where you can eat/drink when you have dogs. Great staff, great beer and very delicious food. Will go again. Try it , you won't be disappointed.

On arrival at 7.30pm was told they were closing at 9.00pm. Great welcome. Was meeting a friend and we were chatting and then was bothered by the bar tender at 8,20p. To be told we are closing soon if you want another drink this is last orders. Really 40 mins to closing. She then proceeded to close down the bar. This did not make us as customers feel very welcome,

Great place to stay in South Norfolk. Comfortable rooms and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant does a good meal and the cooked breakfast are awesome. This must be our sixth stay and we still intend to come back again.

Lovely dog friendly hotel, restaurant and pub. Stopped before lunchtime Mothering Sunday rush for a bacon sandwich and coffee. Both were great. Staff were wonderful. We intend on having a meal there in the future.

Very good !Reason lacking 1 star could be more options on the menu, perhaps a specials board ( altho I have been both occasions for lunch and if is one then appologies but I was not made aware of it)Plenty of time given from ordering and between servings to fully enjoy a meal out.Great venue for family occasions to date nights. Will definitely return.Photo: Pork trio with black pudding mash and saute cabbage and Jus.

Service was fine however food was lacking and very over priced. Had the gourmet burger and it was very disappointing. Dry tasteless burger even though it came with brisket and blue cheese. The brisket I’m sure was pulled pork and was nothing more than what you’d get in a packet from tescos. The blue cheese was literally a square processed piece of packed cheese that they couldn’t even be bothered to melt. Chips were also disappointing. Very basic pub grub which lacked any effort and flavour and was massively overpriced. Won’t be returning.

First time using this restaurant, very impressed, meal nicely presented and cooked also piping hot. Staff very helpful, seating and eating areas very well laid out, toilet's etc clean. Will visit again.

We had a lunch today, the fish pie was lovely but we got a tiny amount of veg, the plate just looked half empty. The chocolate cherry pud was lovely but the cherry part was just squiggles across the plate, some cherries would have been appreciated
