The Showground in South Norfolk

Met up with a couple of friends here. We all had a very nice lunch. My vegan option of spicy lentil hotpot was lovely and would definitely go again just to have this! The vegan chocolate torte was also great. Well done to the staff.

We pre booked for a party of 20 with plenty of notice we sat for over a hour only to get half the tables food then waited again for the rest to arrive well the orders were incorrect and cold one order for a vegetarian breakfast arrived with bacon when that was replaced it was cold and sausages(vegetarian) were awfulWe was let off two meals from the 20!!Would not recommend at all probably better breakfast at McDonald's !!!!

When you arrive, you have to wait to be seated. Arrive early. It's a very long wait because the place where you stand can't be seen by staff. Then they are tepid in their wish to serve. You have to stand at the bar again, for ages, before they notice you. It can take up to 30 minutes to get seated and order, even if all you want is a coffee. Once ordered, service is no slower than anywhere else.

Worst meal I've ever been offered when dining out! Luke warm food, all frozen and warmed up vegetables. Sprouts were actually tougher than if they had been raw, impossible to cut with a knife. Service slow, people on tables near us also complaining. Will not be going back! The manager did deduct one of the meals from the bill.

On our way home, last-minute decision.We were shown to a table by the duty manager, waited. No menu so we got one off another table!Beckoned a waitress to take our order and we're ignored! Walked to the bar to ask ifsomeone could please take our order!A further wait, someone turned up asking if we wanted a drink!When the drinks eventually arrived we made our order!27 mins late our steaks arrived how can you mistake a rare and medium rare for burnt/well done?We had had enough! We asked " is everything alright? by Colin the DM we asked him to confirm the we had the correct order " yes why?"..." We will pay for our drinks & am leaving."The entire staff need to be properly trained. IT WAS NOT PACKED so they were not able to use that as an excuse.Our overall experience was a very poor lamentable one .

The food was dreadful. I was served sausages that were still frozen and pink and I’m pretty sure I heard oink. There was some kind of packaging on my plate and three long hairs and I was refused a refund.

To complete our stay in Norwich I thought we would finish off with a breakfast in the Showground table table. Unfortunately this was a totally disappointing experience. Waited for breakfast for 40 minutes, when it arrived most of it was cold and hash browns were under cooked and the missing eggs never did arrive.At £9.50 per head this is a premium price for second rate service and food.

Always a friendly welcome and amazing attentive personal service.Good seating plan and menu for drinks and food.Rest room facilities could be updated but well worth a visit for food and good times.All party sizes catered for but best to plan ahead at this busy venue.

The reason I went to the showground table to table. There was a family gathering to celebrate a family members birthday. We all enjoyed our meals. It was a lovely atmosphere can not fault the service. I would recommend a visit to there. It's now added to my list of good place's to eat.
