The Wherry Inn in South Norfolk

Very pleasant traditional rustic country pub. Lovely warm open fireplace in cold weather. Cheerful and helpful staff. Good Green King draught beer. I really enjoyed having the scampi, whitebait, salad and tartar sauce for a light lunch. Excellent tasty whitebait and scampi.

We used The Wherry for a family function. The function room was beautifully laid out and cosy, the buffet was plentiful and varied and very tasty (what we couldn't eat we took home it was that good!). The room was private but the manager made sure we had everything we needed and couldn't have been more helpful if she tried. A really great pub with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, we were all very impressed. A big thank you to the Wherry

Good food and friendly staff. We had a delicious Wednesday lunch in what was a busy pub. Smallish menu but everything we had for mains and dessert were well presented and went down a treat. No Guinness by the way.

Lovely setting a short walk from the river, an old fashioned pub with friendly staff. Eat inside or out, table sizes good, spaced well apart not feeling crushed or squeezed in with 4 adults and 2 children.Toilets clean and tidy.Menu not extensive but food lovely with good portions, also has a children's menu.Will definitely return if back in the area

Fab pub! Staff are so friendly. Rachel makes sure everyone is having a nice time. Stayed for the quiz - such fun and harder than we thought!!🤣food is nice and a good selection of beers 🍻

Found the Wherry today whilst out for a country walk.Nice little pub, serves food and a very good selection of drinks.Although fairly busy for a Tuesday lunch, there were plenty of places to sit and eat, including inside, a covered courtyard and a fair sized garden.Food was plentiful, and the staff very friendly.I hear they do a good Sunday lunch (best book though)

Excellent food and friendly service. Great choice of inside and outside seating and a good selection of ales on tap. Always a "must do at least twice" when we are camping in the area.

A friendly welcome when we arrived, we had booked a table for an early Sunday dinner (5pm). I had the roast beef which was nicely presented, the flavour was great the beef was tender and the gravy was excellent. My son had the lasagne which he cleared up completely. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following day for lunch. A good vegetarian options as well. Will definitely be going back when in the area.

Great pub, really friendly and accommodating staff.Had a great meal (huge portion), so tasty. I had the fish and chips, the fish was so fresh and not what I was expecting! Lovely glass of Pimm's too.They've really made the outside area cute and enjoyable to sit there.Highly recommend for a good pub meal!
