This was an unplanned lunch out and we were made welcome sitting outside in beautiful sunshine. We Went for 2 courses from the menu of the day.The Bavette steak was beautifully cooked, tender and delicious. The pan fried Hake flaky and very tasty. The mushroom Duxelle was also deliciousThere is a good choice of wine by the glass as well as by the bottleThe place was busy and the wait sometimes just a little long but attentive and very friendly staff made up for this.We will definitely be returning

Late decision to go out and of course everywhere was booked. Went on the waiting list and was really surprised to get a call. A wonderful meal, really enjoyed it, such a shame I couldn't fit in a dessert. Waitress was great too. Thank you

Lovely place to eat. Fair priced and the food is incredible. Lovely setting, very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. Couldn't be better.

The Christmas meal was beautifully cooked with lovely attention to detail. The service was fantastic too. The highlights of the meal were the turkey main dish and the dessert.

We always enjoy going to the Wildebeest ... the service is always excellent and the food is always superbly presented and the cooking is always excellent. That was the also the case on this (lunchtime) occasion. However, I must say I was a bit disappointed that the menu didn't seem to be much different from from our previous visit, during late summer. I also thought the prices were creeping up and overtaking the overall quality of the dining experience. A further annoyance on this particular visit was a large table of adults with young children and at least one very small infant. Not the fault of the restaurant that the adults didn't seem to attempt to make sure the children cause a nuisance but the noise and some running around certainly took some pleasure out of our visit. I won't be going back until the menu is a bit more varied.

We were staying off grid in a cabin nearby and had a brilliantly luxury evening here as a treat. The menu was phenomenal, making it very difficult to choose but we weren’t disappointed when our food arrived as it the dishes were executed perfectly and more than justify the price. The wine was delicious and reasonable in equal measure to go with our food. Staff and atmosphere also great, real gem if you’re visiting the area.

Attractive bar and restaurant, the outdoor terrace is screened off from the road. You can eat and drink outside with your dog who is also allowed at the bar but not restaurant. The staff were friendly when booking, on arrival and throughout the meal. Nice wooden furniture inside, smart bar and everything spotlessly clean. The menu had a fairly wide choice, there was a menu of local food called the Norfolk menu which I looked the look of but sadly this is only available if the whole table chooses the same which isn't likely on a table of eight. This is quite an expensive restaurant, budget £60 for three courses. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. My own food was wonderful and I tried other people's too, nicely presented and outstandingly tasty. Good wine list and well kept beer also.An absolute treat which I will long remember.

Norfolk Taster menu today for lunch. Food and service faultless, and everything beautifully presented. Proper fine dining experience.
