Baboush in Southend-on-Sea

Had a booking for 16 people for a 50th birthday celebration. Even speaking on the phone with staff before the day, I found them to be really helpful and professional. The staff at the restaurant on the day were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating, one of the staff members bought the birthday girl a drink! We were sat upstairs where they have more of a party atmosphere and it was so much fun! Food was delicious and served quickly - couldn’t fault it! Cake was brought out at the perfect time with all candles and sparkler fountains on it. Music and DJ was great all night long, everybody loved it and had a really enjoyable evening. Would definitely recommend. We will be returning! Thank you.

Celebrated my 50th birthday there on Saturday. Such a great restaurant, food was delicious and plenty of it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a little dance at the end of the evening, such great tunes too. Thank you

Visited here to celebrate my friends 24th birthday. We had an amazing time!The service was incredibly professional and friendly, and the food was to die for.Once finished we were invite up to the upstairs bar for a drink, and the atmosphere was really lovely and joyful.Quite expensive all round, but it’s fair to say you get what you pay for, and it was a treat dinner so it wasn’t a big deal.Overall a great time, would 100% come back!

This place has a great atmosphere with an upstairs bar doing great cocktails and a singer when we were there. Felt like it was 'buzzing'. Unfortunately I wasn't 100percent, so they probably deserve better than 4 star, but I didn't enjoy my meal. I'd go back but make sure I skipped the starters and concentrated on main course as there was a lot of it.

First i found a hair or an eyelash on my plate , then our food came of which was presented nice but most of it was a dry and my lamb and chicken was very bland. Dont get me wrong customer service was good but it would be better if they had a curtain near the entry of their kitchen door because when staff walk in there you can see too much, I would rather not say what i saw but it was not pleasant.

So much food! We had the afternoon Turk, and it just kept coming. Loads of delicious meat, fantastic sides, the mock tails were lovely, and a great price. Will definitely go back.

If you've not been for the afternoon Turk then book and go you won't regret it. £22.50 you get a glass of prosecco cold meze hot meze pride breads and a large selection of meats and rice then a trio of desserts you can't go wrong. Enjoy x

Lovely restaurant. I really enjoyed the starters and the mains are very generous sized portions. The decor is lovely. Black and gold, which goes very well together. Went there the Friday evening just before Valentine’s to escape the crowds and I’m so glad I did because the restaurant was nice and quiet. Will come again.

Excellet food, friendly Staff and nice place. Definitely going to visit again
