Staff were very friendly but food was awful. No table service for taking food orders or drinks orders whilst eating. One person serving at the bar doing both food and drink orders and it was quite busy.I had the mixed grill, it was poor. I asked for my steak to be medium rare. It was cooked beyond all recognition. Like rubber.

Breakfast was ok, staff were pleasant but often understaffed. Dinner was a shambles, over 3 hours for a 2-course dinner. Again understaffed. A huge queue to place your food order at the bar and quality of food was really poor. Some food was warm/rest was freezing cold, all from the same plate!

Just returned from a Nice beer to enjoy some catch up time with my son. Spoilt by a busybody rude waitress who insisted we move from a window seat as it was for dining customers only. There only one other family in the area but oh it was going to be so busy soon according this waitress. We left an hour later and the entire are was bereft of customers. Maybe a bit better training of your staff wouldn't go amiss.

Friendly and helpful staff... but very disorganised. Had a booking for 6.30 pm and had to wait a while to be seated, then it took a good half an hour to receive my food. Fairly nice meal but it was a shame there were tables with dirty plates and cutlery near me. Finished my meal at 7.30pm, plate finally cleared at 7.55! Then had to ask for my dessert as it hadn’t appeared 15 mins later. All in all nearly two hours for dinner. I won’t be returning.

Went here for Sunday dinner with my partner and 2 children. The food was good really nice roast dinners for the adults. We had a couple of mix ups with the kids meals but the waitress couldn't stop apologising enough trying to put things right. She seemed so embarrassed when the wrong deserts came out too. However she made sure the kids were happy with them when they did come. If it wasn't for this waitress it probably been 2 stars.

Really friendly and polite staff, really enjoyed the venue and food was great. Keep up the good work!

The staff were very friendly and the prices were good but the quality of the food was awful. The kids had burgers but they were incredibly dry and inedible. They said it was like cardboard. I had the club sandwich but this was barely toasted, the bacon was more fat than bacon and the chicken was cold. It's a shame as we used to enjoy eating here but won't be returning in a hurry.

We were treated to a meal by nanny as my team won the football league, there was 10 of us... Two of the dishes we wanted wasn't available, Nanny wanted one of the puddings, apparently they haven't had any in since Xmas, so didn't get off to a good start, the food however was very hot and tasty.

I will not be returning.Food wasn't fantastic, but was OK for the price. Dull surroundings, was a cold draft. Then when I found a massive hair in my dessert I wasn't impressed. The waitress dealt with it well, but when you see the manager nearby & he can't even be bothered to come apologise I think that's rude. I wouldn't recommend for a family night out.

If I were able to give a zero score I would do so.My wife is a transplant patient and is therefore vulnerable to infection. As a consequence we requested a secluded table for four people, not a difficult this in a restaurant which was only 20% occupied. The only waitress who appeared to be untrained and confused showed us to a table in the most congested area of the restaurant. When we said this was unsuitable she said she had to do what the the manager instructed her to do.We refused the table and asked her to speak with here manager who was in the kitchen at that time. We then listened to a loud conversation between the two of them resulting in the waitress showing us to another table which was not only in the congested part of the restaurant but also a two person table not the four we had asked for.Exasperated I found the manager who by this time was in the restaurant waiting on tables .We were eventually shown to a suitable table , by this time and after seeing the quality of the food being delivered to other tables we decided not to eat and just take a drink , our friends who had joined us by then ordered the smothered chicken and the beef and ale pie.In both cases the meals were of poor quality (looked like reheated / microwaved) , small portions which in this case was a blessing and poorly presented.Ordering a second round drinks was also a mission when we found the aforementioned waitress on the bar . She was a worse barmaid then a waitress
