I could not ask for a better place to eat. The environment was warm and welcoming. The staff was super nice. If I lived here, I'd probably come at this restaurant every day. Price more than reasonable.

Was working in Southend for a week, found this place and then visited every day for breakfast, stunning food, great views!

Me and my husband on valentines wanted a place to eat breakfast near the seaside. We chose Olivers because it had good review. I have to say we've been pleasantly surprised of how good our experience was. The scenes of the ocean and us eating delicious food was just the perfect start to our morning. The staff made us feel welcome straight away and were super friendly. 10/10. Would definitely be coming back again!

Exquisite food. Probably the best I have eaten in a restaurant in Southend. We had a brief wait for a table, but the restaurant is small and the wait was ultimately worth it. Unfortunately, they were out of the sauce for one of the meals we ordered, and this wasn't noticed until 15 minutes after our order was taken, which was frustrating, but we were offered free drinks to make amends. Being a sullen soul at times of such disappointment, I was delightfully surprised with the food-- the salmon fillet for myself and the Stilton and asparagus tart for my mother-- and that's why it gets 5 stars. It was utterly delicious, well presented and in proportion for the price. Compliments to the chef and more!

This is possibly the best restaurant in all of Leigh-on-sea/Southend. I was very impressed with not only the the flavors but the obvious quality of the ingredients. There wasn’t a single element of the food that wasn’t carefully chosen and delicious. It’s not light food, so if you’re very hungry this is the place for you. It is small but right on the water. We felt like we were on a boat without any of the motion.I was less than impressed with the staff. They took forever to take our order even though she came and asked us three times if we were ready to order (we said yes all three times) but she would say “ok! I’ll get my pad” every time and we wouldn’t see her again. They were friendly enough but forgot so many things. We got arancini balls instead of falafel. But they looked so similar we started in on them and only then realized. We didn’t complain though because they were delicious and we liked them. But we could have easily been disappointed with the wrong order. Our waitress then forgot to bring us water, then condiments we asked for and then our coffees which my husband never ended up getting. And to finish with they were only taking cash that day, I think because their machines were down. But they forgot to tell so many people who then had to send someone from the table to hunt down an ATM which were not close.I still give them 5 stars because the food made up for all the mess with the service. And I will be back, armed with cash, just in case.

We just squeaked in to the breakfast sitting. Enjoyed a delicious brunch with a great view (and excellent company - but I can't promise you'll have the same ☺️). The staff are very friendly and will do anything they can to accommodate. It's a really busy place because the service and food are so good. Well worth a visit!

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had, saw a rating saying it was the best in Southend so thought I’d give it a go. Bacon was hard and over cooked and when I asked for scrambled egg instead of fried I was told NO as it’s easier for the chefs to do fried or poached on their full English. So i asked if they did scrambled egg, they do but only on toast? Unsure as to why it’s unavailable for the breakfast. The eggs Benedict was also cold and bacon dry the sauce was also cold.It Was a takeaway preorder and I still ended up waiting 10 minutes, my guess was they messed the order up and had to redo something as I was home within 4 minutes and eating within 5! So good should have been fresh still.Would not recommend take away for this reason, and eating in may be a different experience I am willing to give them another go and see if it was just a bad day as I’ve heard so many good things about this place was just a disappointment to be served cold food.
