Had a nice experience eating the curry and chips, the chips was well cooked and nice and crispy,The curry sauce was nice and spicy as well,We had take away and sat at the tables outside, could have done with some of the wooden folks to eat with, the staff inside when asked was not helpful to give me a folk when asked, told to que at busy outside counter for a wooden folk.

Not great im afraid. Fish was not fresh, was quite slimy, wet and slushy. Clearly frozen, old and just wasn't tasty. Fish should fall apart in pure white large chunks, not this it was tasteless and horrible. The batter was yellow, was not great but edible. Chips tasted okay, but tasted like chips you would get from a chinese. It must be the oil they are using to make things taste odd & not traditional British fish and chip tasting. Place felt a little dirty and unloved. Staff seemed miserable but polite. Overall not great and would not recommend.

Do yourself a favour and read all the reviews. I can honestly say it was the worse fish and chips ever. It started with a £2.50 latte which came out if a packet into a cup...not stired so it was lumpy and returned. The waitress said to us on ordering a caramel latte "we don't do syrups this is not the Savvoy it's more like the saveloy. WOW Rock Eel was the smallest ever with soggy batter. 5 spoons of fish with piles of chips which all managed to be completely tasteless. Neither of us could eat it. The place was full of dirty tables with staff members talking about their hospital experiences.

Visited this fish and chips restaurant today. The chips were cold and mostly inedible due to black spots and peel. The fish had 9 bones in it. The tea was barely warm. I would not recommend.

Friendly and quick service. Sat, ordered and eaten in 25 minutes! Well priced and good quality food! Fish was lovely and crisp, and the chips were fluffy and light, without an ounce of grease in sight! We will be returning upon our next trip to Southend!

No frills fish n' chips. Came here with my fiance, first time we had had fish n' chips. It was a good experience, though we don't recommend sitting outside as we got pooped on by seagulls.

We got the skinless fish, and it was good. Had a pie as well which was ok. The chips were fine but could have been better. Service was good.
