Cucina in Southend-on-Sea

Cucina managed to fit us in as a late booking for 5 people. The atmosphere, service, food and wine were outstanding, will definitely be making this a regular place to visit. The menu is authentic Italian, the range of pasta dishes is excellent, the pizzas are amazing and the days specials menu had a delightful range of fresh fish dishes, we opted for the John Dorey which was cooked to perfection. Very enjoyable evening, helped along by Roberto who really knows the menu and the wines. Can't wait to have a reason to return. 5* for everything

Fairly busy weekday night in Cucina, so quite loud. Went with 3 friends and my personal experience wasn't great although their food was fine. My pasta with fish had so much salt in it is was inedible. The staff offered to replace it with something else but I didn't want to be sitting eating alone when they had finished. So for me it wasn't a good choice. Lovely staff despite this. Probably wouldn't go back though.

The food was excellent, felt the service was poor as we had to ask 3 times for a glass of water!! Also had to wait a while for our meal. We dined mid-week so we were very surprised that the service wasn't good.

Beautiful restaurant, very lovely service - very accommodating and friendly. Tasty food and cocktails and a nice atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back.

Very nice restaurant with a great service. Children portions available. Pizza are on the larger side🍕. Beef carpaccio was ok. Strozzapreti all grancio highly recommended. Plenty of fish options on the menu for pescatarians.

Absolutely stunning food and great service. Portions of a decent size too. My first time on recommendation of a friend and it was really worth it! Will definitely be going back.

Very average Italian restaurant in Leigh-on-Sea.Service was attentive and friendly, dining room nicely appointed.Ordered starters of prawns and arancini, the prawns were tough so didn’t enjoy that. For main I had the lobster ravioli which was bland, you also couldn’t taste the very small bit of lobster filling. We also had the prawns as a main, again tough with no sauce.For the price they charge I Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Good food and reasonably priced. Would come again and would recommend to a friend.
