Dolphin Fish & Chips in Southend-on-Sea

I’ve been a regular customer for past least 5 years at the Dolphins Fish & Chips and tried to place an order for chicken & lamb donors but the guy who was taking the order today was absolutely rude and abrupt and refused to put extra chilli sauce and tried charge extra for it. I asked his name and he refused to give his name. I asked to speak to the owner, Gorman, and he said Goran is no longer there and that he’s is the owner.The guy I was speaking has no manners to speak to a regular customer and very rude! I’ll never recommend the Dolphins Fish & Fish to mr worst enemy either!!

I have bought chips here before which were great.I ordered plaice and chips through justeat. It came quickly but the batter was soggy and didn't seem like plaice. Even the cat refused to eat it 😢The chips were also very pale Serves me right for ordering when I had a perfectly good meal planned!! I have a horrible taste in my mouth ....sorry 🙃

Always great food, great service and good value for money

Very nice friendly family run takeaway. Very hospitable, excellent service, and great tasting food. I was not disappointed. I would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent food been going here for at least 8 years now. Food is excellent delivery always on time. Need to do more deals like before besides that five star all the way ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Placed an order took over an hour and when I phoned up they said another 15minutes. Complete waste of time and useless

Ordered to take away, we live about 5 mins away but they still delivered very timely. Food was hot, fresh and very very tasty! Good service as well on the phone paid by card 👍 We got a fish and chip meal and mixed doner wrap meal for less than 15 quid and they didn't over do it with the chilli sauce on my wrap 😀 I would give another star if I could. Highly recommended 👌

I ordered a delivery from this place a little while ago, it took about 10 minutes longer than they said but it's not a problem. But, when it did turn up some of the order was missing so I telephoned them to inform them of this they said they will send the rest of the order straight away.I have worked on takeaway deliveries myself and if something is missing you get back to the address as quickly as possible with the rest of the order and apologise.After half an hour I telephoned them again. After putting our chips in the oven and the salad in the fridge they told me that the rest of my order had not even left the premises yet.I told him even though I paid for it, they could keep it. Then a driver turned up five minutes later with the rest of the stuff, which by this time, we didn't want. This is what they should've done in the first place! The bottom line was, they didn't want to bring it until another deliveries towards my address.Order from these at your peril.PS The salad had a bug and it's just for good measure.

Best chips in the area, cooked exactly the way they should be. The fish is fresh and even the sausages are lovely. Highly recommended. They are head and shoulders above the competition around here and their prices are realistic too. I can't fault them. They cook their chips properly, enough said.

Little fast food joint selling fish and chips, kebabs, pizza and more. Very nice and polite staff but slow as ever when I was there. Food was good enough though, although they scrimped on the salad of all things. Normally I find kebab shops short-change you on the meat and substitute it with the salad.
