Grumpy's in Southend-on-Sea

Fun American diner, all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.Nice fun atmosphere, the vintage American style is a nice look and gives the place a great vibe.Good was reasonably priced and delicious, I only had a wrap & chips but will be coming back to try more of the menu soon!Also this is one of the few places now that serve a float and it only cost £1 to add a scoop of ice cream to any soft drink!

My mother and I both decided to order a jacket potato. Myself pulled pork and her extra cheese and extra butter. The vibe of the restaurant is absolutely immaculate and its food was great, pulled pork nice and juicy. I ordered a jelly bean mocktail also, it was nice but could have been more. As far as I could tell it was just mostly orange juice over it's over ingredients but that's fine for me. All together a lovely day out thanks to the food.

I had lunch here and it was quite busy, which was good to see especially after the last 2yrs nice to see a business thrive & getting back on its feet. This diner has a good atmosphere, Doris Day & Elvis films on the TV's no sound as they play classic Rock n roll vibe tunes. The food is great & good sized portions too! Nachos were sooo nice! Staff are always friendly too.

Amazing food and atmosphere, love the 1950s style deco and themes. Staff are so friendly, but what stands out is the crazy big seized foods they do, very delicious, family and friends loved it.

Lovely experienceWe hadn't booked (travelled down for a day the beach) but were told not to worry and quickly seated and served. Staff, Jasmine and Jack were brilliant and very accommodating. The restaurant is super cute. Food was great, the build your own burger menu was super, the mac and cheese was delicious, milkshake was so good! Desserts were lovely too! Couldn't fault it. Thank you

Really great meal here after a day at the seafront. Fun place, especially for the kids and as it was October half term, it was decked out with spooky Halloween stuff. The kids had a treasure trail to do to find all the giant spiders and they got a lolly at the end of the meal. Staff really friendly. Vegan options too which we're good (pictured is the personalised vegan burger). Even vegan milkshakes! Will definitely try and go back.

Grumpys donated some vouchers for a fund raising event at Trinity's girls football ⚽️ team and myself and partner won whoop Whoop Great atmosphere, good food, friendly staff love all the memorabilia around the place

Nice diner with the American feel and friendly staff. Had the route 66 burger which is massive (4 patties) and loved it. Nice chilli in the burger and crispy fries

My partner and I visited Grumpy’s Diner last week whilst on holiday and absolutely fell in love with the restaurant. There was so much to look at within the restaurant as it was so well decorated and the food was absolutely incredible. The staff were so lovely and friendly that we decided to go back for my birthday where we once again got amazing service and absolutely wonderful food. We even brought some candles that they set up in my dessert and brought out to me. We’re absolutely devastated you’re a 2 hour drive away but if ever we are in the area we will be sure to come visit again 😁
