Having avoided this restaurant for the past few years due to covid, and prior due to really poor service (ridiculously long waits for service and food), we have had 2 x really lovely meals in as many weeks. Fabulous service, particularly from Glenn and Lisa. Thank you! See you soon!

Food 1 star at best cold, overpriced farmfoods microwave quality at best! 3 stars for the waitress as she was attentive place looking shabby , my girlfriend has been unwell due to poor quality of the food. Note to the manager rather than offering chances to come back to rectify problems you need to upgrade the chefs cooking skills ,I will write to your area manager and director and let them know of these problems.

Glenn, Vikki, Andy, Tom and Steve were all top drawer as well as the young lady (who I can't remember her name), as she took over when Glenn went on break, but she was also extremely friendly and warm.Griggsy too, who wasn't there, the whole team just treat us like family and we love attending.Keep up the good work guys x

Six of us had a lovely lunch here last week, we were served by Lulu who was super efficient with a friendly smile! We liked the way the salad is done by the waitress now, everything is put in your bowl nice and neatly and there’s no mess round the salad bar. Surroundings were comfortable and clean and it was a pleasant lunch all round. Can’t wait for some warm weather and return to sit in the sun outside!

Dropped in quick drink and it had to be one of the most unwelcoming and uninviting places we have been to in a while!Ignored by barmaid when we got to the bar as she was doing something on the till and didn’t acknowledge us until she had finished. Not very friendly, no staff greeting people that did come in and it was not busy!Staff not smart or well presented and didn’t seem to be that bothered.Won’t be visiting again!!

Wasn’t expecting much as I think Harvester generally has gone down hill. However we could not fault the service and food. We all had different meals and everyone said theirs was excellent. Very friendly staff made us welcome. The Shore House brings back so many happy memories for me, drinking here and playing darts as a young lad.

Always enjoy going to the Harvester. Staff are great, food is very well priced and tasty and the place is always well maintained.Just off the seafront, great for a walk after and a decent park across the road for the kids.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. The salad bar is great too, but the ordered food was disgusting, burnt and also cold at the same time. Taste was like dirt mixed with sage, it was cold inside too.Not sure how you ruin food when you just need to heat it as nothing is made fresh on the premises.

This historic inn on the very corner of Southend’s beach has been a place of pilgrimage for years gone by. Formally a Brewster Bear’s, this new incarnation of the property has certainly maintained a sense admiration for visitors both past and present. The food is sublime and prepared to a fairly good level and the drinks are faultless as one would expect. My only niggle is the customer service. When you first sit down (in my instance, I was sat outside) you’re drawn to use the app to order your food much like the company’s competitors. However, when attempting to do so, it turns out that the Shorehouse is not on the list to order from. Disappointed is a good word but, it wasn’t the end of the day for me. The next option was to get someone to come to your table and order. This proved to be more difficult than getting a cat to come when called. After a few minutes of waiting, my party and I decided it would just be better to go in and order at the bar. With the food ordered, it was quite a wait for us to finally indulge in our purveyed goods although, the moment was bliss when it finally came. The atmosphere was good and it’s very child and family friendly. I would definitely come again knowing I’m now all the wiser in how this establishment prefers to offer its service to its customers.
